We know that most common waxes that customers use deteriorate over time. Sealers last considerably longer. Some sealers claim 4 to 6 months.
The question is how can I determine if the wax has deteriorated completely. What is available ?
Thanks
I have many customers who store their ride for up to six months here in Michigan. Will wax or sealer evaporate during the storage time. ? With or without a cover. And what about outside under cover during the cold winter momnths .I am thinking not but felt like I should check.
Yes, directions from IGL state to wait 5 to 10 minutes. I like the idea of using the applicator to level it first at 5 Minutes then buff with a m/f towel. GREAT idea. I have side panels to do next and Ill give this a try.
Thanks . Ill give this a try next time around. My concern is dust that may accumulate while bring the car out of the bay. We live on a dirt road and even a small accumulation may create an issue. I use a sun gun but that did not help.Your comments are appreciated.
This has been a bit of a challenge for me on a 98 Corvette. Coating about 2 sq feet then waiting about 5 minutes before hand buffing. Six hours later when out of the Detail bay I have spots on horizontal surfaces. I cross cross when applying then wait about 5. It appears ok with a portable sun...
Having a major issue. Had my 96 Corvette hood repainted and some of the buffing swirls ( from a rotary ) showing up ONLY after applying a hi gloss ceramic. In the sun , after buffing and polishing all of the swirls seem to be gone. Then I bring the car into my detail bay and wipe it down as...
The 68 Red Firebird that I will be working on already has a great shine. But light swirl marks from improper cleaning methods with microfiber towels and dusters. I do not see any need for the #7 system. I like it a ton but just don't feel its necessary to restore a shine. Unless it will do more...
from 10 feet this looks great. Up close the owner has tried hand polishing and minor scratches are throughout. He has asked me to get his polishing techniques completly. Shinny , man is it shinny.
I am thinking : Machine compound followed with a polish? I was thinking along the line of D300 with...
