No, it does not smear or fling off at all. It's completely dry & very easy to keep clean. The stuff is GREAT!. I have had it on for 2.5 months (1,500 miles or so) & it looks just like the it did when I applied it. After many many years of dealing with greasy, drippy & flinging dressings...
