Thanks for taking the time out; I appreciate it. :) Well, I was working on a car which hadn't been clayed in its life (about 7-8 years) and the SSCK didn't remove much and I had to follow up with a cleaner wax. Next time i'll be polishing so i'll go for a more aggresive one.

Thanks for getting back to me. By the way, which clays does meguiars offer currently? And do you know if there's any difference between the clay in Smooth Surface clay kit and Quik clay?

Hey Nick, i saw the video and i thought i was breaking the rules by claying fast :D Do you usually clay that hard on a good to near perfect finish with no/ very less swirls ? Or was it because you had to do a correction later?

I use it for a carnauba too; specifically Mefuiars Gold Class and #26. Waxing becomes a breeze. Yeah i do layer it after it cures. Not just turtle wax; even directions of Mothers cleaner wax say so.

Hi, all! I know this question has had a lot of talk but i was wondering whether its ok to spray water again on the pad after doing a few panels then wipe the pad on the wax and wax the panel? I use this method for pretty much any paste wax and just to prime the pad for a liquid wax.

I think i'll stick to hand washing as what i'm washing is barely any load. What you did there was pretty smart :P. If i ever get that kind of washer i'm gonna try what you did.

Hmm...well i wanted one without any softners, brightners etc. How about this one? What dilution do you use for general purpose cleaning i.e wash mitts, interior cleaning mf's? Oh and is it clean rinsing or do you feel the need to use some distilled white vinegar while rinsing?

Thanks a lot, Mike. That was a good read. The painter told me to wait at least a month before waxing. I washed the bumper today and it looks fine but there are little dots or bubbles in the paint. I can feel them with my fingernail. I think Mike described them as solvent pop(not sure about...
