How to write a good title for your thread

Sometimes I like the ambiguous thread titles. It makes me think of Forrest Gump and his box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to get. ;) In all seriousness, a good thread title will definitely catch my interest, either because it is something I know about, or it is something I...

New use for WG Perfekt Finish Paint Prep

Thanks for the tip! I will definitely be using this the next time I detail my car! I, too, have tried everything with no success, and I have a few spots that will be so nice to clean up! ;)

    Cleaning honeycomb plastic grilles?

Bore mops or bore swabs are the correct term, and that is totally genius! I am going to raid my gun cleaning supplies the very next time I need to detail my car because you have just given me a thousand and one ideas on how I can use those on all the pesky nooks and crannies on my vehicle! I...

    When All Else Fails

I have some peeling of my clear coat, and I poked around the forum and saw that the only way to really fix this is a repaint. I'm not looking for show room quality here, I am looking to stop my wife from nagging me to death. ;) This is a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country that my wife has to drive a...

    car was hit today

Just based on where the damage is, was he merging into your lane or something? I know you explained a little above, but it's unclear what was happening at the time of the accident. Regardless, based on the pictures, I doubt there will be any sort of tickets issued. Thankfully there really wasn't...

Sitting here on a frigid Indiana night

You do fantastic work! I joined to learn better tips and tricks for my own vehicles. Seeing what all of you can do here, even on the side, really inspires me. Unfortunately it is frigid here in the Northeast, too, and we are a long way from detailing season.

    Happy Birthday KBsToy!

KB Toys used to be one of my favorite places to visit when I was a kid. My son really enjoys them as well, but there aren't that many around my area. My area is more of a ToysRus type of town.

The smell? Is it just me?

I think it may be just be to be honest with you. I tend to have a more sensitive smell than most people, or at least that's what I'm told. I do like your suggestion of Orange Glo afterwards. I do love the way it smells.

Your forum nickname? What does it mean?

Kyd is my nickname on here because it reminds me of Billy the Kid. I just choose to spell it differently to stand out a bit from the crowd. Billy the Kid was one rebellious person, as am I, so I felt it worked well.

The smell? Is it just me?

I love this product. It is by far, hands down, the best wax I have ever used on my car. I love the way it makes my baby gleam and shine, but the smell is just so hard to get off. I've tried gloves, but maybe they were not thick enough. Either way, I love this product and will not use anything...
