aqua-wax still the way to go?

Sorry to bring this thread up. But is there such a thing as applying it too often? Is it designed to be used after every wash?

    QDing Too Often??

For me, having a black car, I do not QD unless I wash the car first..... and if the dust is really getting to me, then I will get up early and wash the car before go to work.

Looking for a HIGH GLOSS tire dressing that lasts for customers?

If you have PB B&B, try applying two coats. They say one coat for matt finish, and 2 coats for a more glossy finish. But it may not be glossy enough for you.

    Prima Product Line. Likes/Dislikes?

I have only tried the Slick QD, and love it. Am thinking of getting a large size now.

PB bold and bright is still there after a week's driving in all conditions, and is sometimes there after 2 weeks. What I find is that the more you use it, the more it lasts, if that makes sense. And this is only with one application to make it look matt.

dumb stuff thats happened during detailing

Well, after spending 8 long hard hours correcting the paint on a black Audi, I followed up the next day to apply some Fuzion. Car looked amazing, then the owner comes out with a can of black spray paint. I asked "what are you doing?" He replies "This is what I doo all the time.." and he proceeds...

@#$%! All my swirls back in one wipe-down!

You know, I know that the foam gun is about $150 Aussie dollars, but the time it takes for a full polish / swirl removal is about 2 days worth. If I can minimise that, then it is worth it....... that is my opinion anyways. Plus, it actually looks like alot of fun too !

    Swirls again? from MF?

If it is just light dust and you don't want to wash the car, I would foam gun it, rinse with pressure washer, use the sheeting technique, dab dry and apply a QD. Using this method you are still only touching the car once. Might take you an extra 10 minutes all up.

@#$%! All my swirls back in one wipe-down!

Yep, my plan will be foam gun to pre-soak the car, then blast off with pressure washer, 2 bucket method, rinse, dry and QD or Aquawax.

QD to clear water spots the day after?

    I would wash it ....

@#$%! All my swirls back in one wipe-down!

I think that the safest way to remove dust is by washing, no other way. I have a black car, that lives outside at night, and I just have to live with the fact that it can only get washed once a week on weekends. If it is dusty, I put up with it. To put things into perspective also, I did a full...

My favorite non-detailing detailing tool is...

Old tooth brushes, for cleaning around badges, and also crevices on the outside. I find that I will wash the car with a toothbrush in my pocket and use it whenever I find dirt in those hard to reah places.

How often do you use Aqua Wax?

Sorry about that.... being a detailers forum, I thought that was pretty much the norm.

How often do you use Aqua Wax?

Just a quick question in regards to AW and how people are using it. Personally, I love the stuff, and use as often as I can, but my question is can excessive use of this product build up any 'bad' layers on your LSP? I have a black car, and have DG 601 + 105, WG DGS topped with WG Fuzion...
