    Egg on my face!

I don't know if said egg was fired. I do know that if my son wasn't in the car with me, it would have not been good for the shooters. I don't do well with the damaging of people's property, especially vehicles. I may still get a quote from a shop for the repair. Anyone know a good shop in...

    Egg on my face!

Thanks guys. I'm probably going to do a Dr. Colorchip for this. I purchased one for my vehicle last year with decent results, so...

    Egg on my face!

Any suggestions on how to correct this? Happened Saturday night on my wife's brand new Escape. There's a little chipping in the paint, with an odd point of contact where said egg hit. I'm not happy.

As far as All Purpose Cleaners go, what's everyone using? Optimum, Blackfire, Einszett?

    Bumper Damage

Thanks to everyone for the fixes. I have done touch-ups before, but nothing this severe before. I'm going to get a Dr. ColorChip kit & see where that takes me. The plastic trim, to me, seems marred in one area, but some places, just white paint. At this point, I'm not considering replacing...

    Bumper Damage

Thanks, but what is APC? For the touch-up, should I go to the dealer for the factory paint or get something along the lines of Dr. Colorchip? Can you be more specific regarding the sanding, compounding & polishing? I have never done a repair like this before.

    Bumper Damage

I guess some piece of sh** tagged my rear bumper while I was parked on the street at work. Any ideas on how to repair the plastic trim?- it's of the 'orange peel' type. I was thinking to just touch-up the chipped paint. Any quality solutions?

    High gloss black plastic b-pillars

So, the Mother's Plastic Polish I have would or wouldn't be a good solution if I'm polishing by hand? I had bought the Mother's originally for removing scratches on the face of a microwave.

    High gloss black plastic b-pillars

I think I will try the Mother's Plastic Polish by hand- it's pretty gentle. I have used it on my microwave exterior & it worked reasonably well. I'm still wondering why such high traffic areas of a vehicle are such a soft material??

Absolutely love the Touareg. Couldn't afford a Cayenne, but I got something damn close. My brother picked up an '07 off lease a couple years ago and he loves his. The Touareg is really one of those vehicles that's 'off the radar'. The build quality is superior to almost anything in its class.

    High gloss black plastic b-pillars

Even though my Touareg is only 500 miles old, the exterior shiny black plastic b/c-pillars are hairline scratched all to hell. What do I use to properly remove the scratches & seal the surface? I have Mother's Plastic Polish in my arsenal, but wondering if there's something more...
