Can Coat as a Drying Aid..........

I have used Cancoat on top of CQUK/TIO2. No compatibility problems. I have used Reload and Gliss on top of Cancoat. Doesn't seem to affect the top layer's properties. I think that added moisture would interfere with Cancoat bonding to the layer underneath.

GYEON Q2 Mohs Ceramic vs cquartz Ceramic

Hey Budget or Guz, What do you guys think of using one brand as base (say Mohs) and top with another brand (CQ)? I know CQ on CQUK works fine. I know Cure/Wetcoat/Cancoat plays well with CQ/UK. But have been thinking about mixing brand coats (instead of layering one Mohs on Mohs for example) to...

    ac smell

Lysol works for me. Remove the cabin filter if there is one. Then with fan on and recirc off, spray Lysol through the outside vents near the windshield. Do it several times. Then turn recirc on and spray the inside vents near the feet area, driver and passenger sides. Do this several times. I...

    Making your own wheel cleaner?

APC for me. Meg's APC is the most cost effective. If you don't want to damage paint or sealant, use OptiClean and mix accordingly.

    Polishing/sealing glass questions

You'll need the Ceriglass for the scratches. I plan on doing a windshield following swanicyouth's post on polishing. He used the Griot DA but with Carpro pads. Like you, I'll be using the DA and Griot pads. REMOVAL of Glass Scratches with CarPro and a Griots DA

    HF pads?

The HF finishing pad works well for wax application with DA. It outlasted my Griot pad which lost its Velcro backing.

so i tested some foaming yesterday...

Do you have hard water? Megs Gold Class doesn't foam well for me in my cannon. But I have hard water. I plan on trying CG Maxi Suds since it has water softeners.

Need the best protection from 24/7 FLORIDA SUN and NUCLEAR PIGEON POOP

If you decide to go with a coating, find a pro to do it right the first time, especially since you don't have a garage to DIY. The sun and rain will wear down any wax or sealant over time. For a DIY, look into a sealant for main protection and weekly/monthly followup with spray wax (after...

    Weekly Touch Up?

If you want an economical choice, I recommend Meguiar's D15601 Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax. Can be applied to wet or dry car, trim, and direct sun. Protection only lasts about a month, so no problem if you're doing this weekly. I apply after rinsing. Leaves a nice shine after buffing off.

    Interior carpet cleaning problem

I am assuming you are not working on the carpet mats. Mats can be blasted with a hose to rinse. For the interior, laundry detergent, while it works, needs plenty of rinsing to completely remove. Make sure you have at least 2 rinse buckets. Use one bucket to rinse your used brush from dirt and...

    Looking for reliable spray bottles

If you're used to the dollar sprayers, the Rubbermaids will be a noticeable upgrade. Easier and more comfortable trigger action.

    Looking for reliable spray bottles

Go to the Walmart cleaning aisle and pick up the Rubbermaid Professional Spray bottles. Someone on here concluded that they were likely identical to the Griot sprayers. They work for me. And for less than 4 bucks.

    Headlight restore, tried 3m kit....ehh

I followed this copy/paste from Zach, one of the pros on here. You can use your current detailing supplies without resorting to buying an extra kit. I stopped at 2000 grit; others like to go up to 3000 for a finer finish. __________________

Horrible road grime, tar, bugs, and rail dust on wife's DD.

I have a white RAV4. For bugs and contaminants, I use Meguiar's Rinse Free wash to spray off. If the bug contaminants are stubborn, I let the product dwell before removal. After cleanup, I always apply Meguiar's Quik Spray Wax or Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax. I also have a sealant underneath...

    MTM Stalls PSI Washer ?

I have a Generac 3100 @ 2.7. The MTM has never stalled. I'm assuming your washer runs fine without the MTM. Have you used any other attachments with your washer?
