Perfectly Safe Brush

THOR all but admitted it when I made a post elsewhere that THOR got a container load of microfiber through a group buy. I received a love emoji in response. I see no harm no foul.

It just shows coordinated buying and marketing by THOR They just had a get-together that yielded a bunch of cross brand videos. Maybe DIY got the brush out of the deal.
Yeah but which microfibre cloths are the best out of that bunch none, because their all the same just different logo, but the fans will choose i guess at the end of the day.

They get far more traction from making bold statements about a product, tool or procedure than presenting logical, informative information.

Take this stupid brush for example. In no way is this an interesting or special brush, hell it doesn't even come with a handle. Had they made a short, factual video about when and where to use it, then listed it for sale and let it fly, no one would take any notice of it at all. It's just another brush in a market flooded with similar tools. However, go out there and make some silly claims, hawk it around to other "influencers" who post similar "reviews" (by the way, its not a "review" if you are sent something for free, that makes it an "advertisement"), and there you have it, people are talking about what is a fairly boring and pointless product. Bingo, clicks, likes, views, sales................................money. And guess what, this man is being paid to do this, as in paid an income for making up unsupported "facts".
I'm waiting for one of these loads to "reinvent" the California Car Duster with microfiber and infused with ceramic for extra protection and gloss. Guaranteed to not scratch or mar your paint ........... as long as you don't use it on your paint...

I still have several dozen 40 plus year old 100% cotton diapers from the boys

I’m waiting for them to be a thing again because I’m sitting on a small fortune

Home depot has an excellent assortment, its really painting brush extensions you want to look at. A few of the longer ones, you could wash your neighbors car from your living room.

The point is, they are selling an incomplete product that requires you to go to a store and buy something to make it usable. Hardly a premium buying experience. Why not just buy it all the hardware store.

You know.. maybe Yvan and his investors took a hit with those polishers so they had to come up with another thing to sale to the audience they build. The comment sections on there video's can't all be real. It's clearly like a cult with some of the people. Particularly women. Aristotle said we are a "herd" species lol

I already said Yvan clearly behaves like a demi-god like character. Its all an act.

Maybe they are short on brush handle poles because they are all inserted in the Thor staff's as..........................

You old timers might recognize the name

It actually looks interesting. But i still don't trust anything Yvan.

And frankly, i'm not super crazy about a few swirls. Be interesting if anyone tries to copy it the next 12 months.

It might be great. If it is i will buy one for sure. It looks effortless and really saves your back. Honestly, i hope they are onto something..

It's easy enough to get a broom handle at a local store, even the dollar tree sells them. Shipping even a 3 or 4 foot handle is quite expensive and takes a special size box.
What? I want a "detailer's handle" made by Korean virgins.

I think it just adds more opportunity for trouble rather than reducing it. It seems awkward and just do not need it.

I will add it is like washing from whatever the length of the broom and more akin to removing snow from your car rather than fine cleaning

Look, I really don't care for the guy, but your argument is silly. I'd be willing to bet that 85%+ of people that own a garage already have this handle. Its like saying a polisher should come with the pads. Yes, its nice for a newbie, but most of us don't want them included.

That's exactly why so many hoods up here are more trashed than the rest of the paintwork, years of snow removal with a push broom or a long handled ics scraper/snow broom combo

Sounds like another business opportunity (along with the one of washing cars from your livingroom), mobile hood painting!

I'm an idea man, Chuck. (Bonus points to whoever identifies that movie line, and the actor that said it)

I agree 100%. Or saying a grit guard must come with a bucket.

As I have mentioned previously, if the Perfectly Safe Brush came with the handle it would be more expensive and the shipping cost would be a lot more. I would much rather save the money and get the handle that is best for my needs locally or use what I already have.

Well, under that argument, DIY should stop supplying bottles of product with a trigger sprayer, they can just use whatever is lying around the garage.

As for it increasing the price, that's a silly argument as well.

The Ultra Safe Brush is $24.99 USD. You can buy similar brushes on Amazon for the same price (or less) and it includes a handle. Here are three such examples....................................

No need to go and pilfer a handle off something else or drive to the hardware store to make your $25 purchase usable. If I'm buying something online, its generally for convenience.

At the end of the day, the handle is just one of many reasons why this product is a stupid idea. I love setting fire to cash in the name of detailing purchases, but not when its completely counterintuitive to the very reason why we detail cars. As anyone who is involved in paint correction if they would use a brush to clean a car, they'd look at you as if you had just ran over their dog.
