what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

Me too. Great machine it seems. Lots of love for the shinemate cordless 15mm. I seen lots of detailers using the machine now on youtube.

And don't forget its like HALF the price of the Rupes! :D
Used mine (Shinemate 15mm) more last weekend and love it. I think I really love the ease of cordless but the machine is easy to handle and it cuts. Cords don't bother me but I do see how they restrict me.

I did hear about stalling complaints but haven't had any. I actually grabbed the Griot's vented backing plate as that apparently makes it the perfect machine but haven't tried it yet. I can't recall where I heard of stalling but at least I've got a fix if needed.

Cool. I love to have the machine frankly but i'm married now and have to explain things haha. Still worth it!!

It gets great reviews and is relatively powerful from every thing i seen. But i'm sure it stalls on curves.

I MIGHT breakdown if i get some more overtime next trip and get the Liquid Elements cordless. I already have 1 battery and charger for the machine. Its compatible with the 18v Makita batteries.

That all said i have a forced rotation coming - i assume you seen me mention that before.

I think i will be more than happy with that machine and i can still use my G15 for nice and flat panels. Its an excellent machine on flat panels.

Those Black Friday sales are sooner than you think, my friend

... and naturally I mean that for gifts for the Mrs.

Why is it when a man buys something for himself, he has to face a jury and firing squad for spending money, but the same doesn't seem to apply when a female does the same thing?

Well, to be fair to my Mrs., I up and started my own business this year after getting tired of making money for others so I will respect the breadwinner's questions at this time.

(And no, not a detailing business either)

Never had a problem in over 15years.

Some folks just make stupid money decisions. Also they dont communicate.

If you are bad with those 2 issues..well your bound to be treated like the child you are acting like ha ha.

im not calling you those things to ve clear, just speaking generally

You just gave me an idea! haha! I wonder what i should buy her...She's amazing frankly. She's a 33 year old conservative woman from the Philippines that grew up in "province", outside the cities. She's 100 pounds. :)

We have 1 child together. Its the only child for both of us.

TMI?.... :D

I just seen this comment. I would agree i had similar experiences even with my current wife. But she's pretty good. We do have a major priority right now. But that said i'm no simp and she's KNOWS that. :D

If i make up my mind its done. I value decisiveness. My parents are very undecisive, it's enough to drive a man insane.

Like she only found out i ordered the hercules by sneaking on my laptop and seeing my email - not that i care. My laptop is not off limits to her because i have nothing to hide. But she was VERY upset when i ordered a $1900-2100USD electric bike. I cancelled the order. lol I might get the voltbike 750 Yukon next summer, i think i will love that thing, i need to get active again while i still can - 47 years okd.

Electric bikes look like a blast. I have had over a dozen bicycles, 3 or 4 motorcycles and even 2 scooters in the Philippines when i was there.

Well, we segregate finances - my money, her money, and common money so the only discussion is on big purchases.

DIY Detail has been pumping out videos at a robust rate this summer. I guess it is about maintaining attention with all the other THOR family stuff.

What is Nick's background. He often plays the role of student by getting Yvan to explain things.

THOR content is coming next if they didn't already start. They keep inviting the Yum guy from the UK and record for a week or so.

Funny enough, Yum was very easy to get before THOR and then the hype train started. The THOR community seemingly goated Yum Detailer recently and I bought it for peanuts 2 years ago on Amazon.

The THOR social media has become out of control. Someone recently gave the Pan towel a good review but noted it did have a big graphic that is not their preference. The whole week they created condescending media and posts towards them for the Pan towel and the logo.

They're all a bunch of Aholes now playing the "if you're not with us, you're against us" cards because they never recovered well from their crappy warehouse team.

He was a TV news guy...where have you been?

He was a TV news guy, then he quit to become a detailer, I think a divorce may have been involved with that...then he started a YouTube channel, Hawk Detailing or something kind of merging his two vocations. And then I guess the money guy behind THOR saw him with Yvan and the rest is history, or should I say the rest is DIY?

He looks and acts like he can barely walk and chew gum at the same time.
