Do I need to do a strip wash before correcting?

Have you driven since washing it? Then I would definitely wash it. The clay will remove the wax. Don't use dawn to strip when you have some CG glossworkz

First time using CG car wash.

Glossworkz? I find it doesn't sud as much as their citrus wash and gloss. I find suds are more a placebo effect

Optimum spray wax over Liquid Souveran wax

Could agree more. It's far cheaper than my V7 and RMT but certainly do not rate it inferior to either of them. I have considered other spray waxes but they are usually twice the cost

Optimum spray wax over Liquid Souveran wax

I assume it was a fresh layer of glaze and wax then? I myself have never had an issue but I've never topped my wax until at least a few weeks after application. I use OCW, DJ RMT and CG V7 at home depending on what I'm after. It's a bit of a shame DJ RM can be applied immediately as its...

Optimum spray wax over Liquid Souveran wax

It will be fine. Usually only need to worry about decent curing time when using a detailer like Dodo Juice Red Mist as the solvents will degrade existing wax if not cured long enough. The polymers ONR will never cause bonding issues and can even be painted over.

Newbie what dilutions should I make with APC & ONR?

Yes the larger number is parts of water. Most people have 10:1 for general cleaning and 4:1 for heavier cleaning. That's what I use but 20:1 as suggested is enough for light cleaning as suggested

    Obscene shipping fees

It depends on what your buying if you consider local buying a rip off. Large items like gallons don't work well. I have an example where I was quoted by AG and ended up purchasing with a combo of Autogeek and ZAS I enquired on AG to purchase some grit guards, wax applicators, tire applicators...

    Obscene shipping fees

A lot of Aussie retailers now get my $ now. They are competitive on many products but not all. Eg. Look at the price of Optimum products here. Even with reasonable shipping prices it should be better to buy locally. CG products are a mixed bag. Some are priced even cheaper the USA but some...

    Grit Guard Fence Sitter.

IMO 2 wash buckets just wastes too much product. 3300ml (about 3.5quarts) is not available to be used. IMO if going to run an extra grid guard it would be more benefitical in the rinse bucket or better still have two rinse buckets.

ONR dilution for cleaning door jambs

I believe ONR would be fine for maintaining clean door jams. A waterless wash would be better. When I do my 3-6 month wax application I clean the door jams with OPC. Then just use waterless wash like OCC or HD Free

    Chemically Stripping Wax

For those that apply new wax regularly. Eg. once a month. Do you always strip your old wax or just apply a new layer/s after a normal wash?

    Just ordered some Dodo

RMT is like a spray wax on roids. By far my favourite topping product. If cost wasn't an issue I would use it over OCW. DJ have some great items. Only a few haven't met my expectations

    Product Mixing

Add up to 1 oz of OCW to wash buckets for extra gloss Mixed DJ Clearly Menthol with polish to remove chemical etches on plastic trim

Using distilled water as a pre-soak?

And tap water is cheaper again. Personally I wouldnt be so tight and use ONR. Its cheap enough. Use something with added lubricity and cleaning power then just water

    "Drywash" compared to water washes

For a dirty vehicle I would personally use a traditional wash. The initial rinse removes a lot the dirty you wouldn't want to remove from your paint using your wash mitt.

Looking for a new wheel cleaner.

I have been considering moving to OPC myself. I always it on my shelf and more cost effective then most wheel cleaners

    Economical Microfiber Wash?

I had been using it until I ran out. Found it great as a presoak for my dirty wheel cloths too. Currently using 3D towel clean

    Wash soap/Wheels

I just use what I have left over from washing the paint. The cost difference between a cheaper shampoo is not going to be worth my seperate prep time

How often do you wash your drying towels?

I'm surprised your wheels towels aren't washed by themselves.
