So, I decided I want to change up my sealant and wax. Currently, I using Menz Powerlock topped with P21S Pure Carnuba. I did a full paint correction 3 months back and the car sleeps indoors, so I wanted to remove the old sealant chemically and not use anything mechanical. I don't know if anyone else every does this when they want to change their wax if there paint is pretty clean and defect free; or if they just wash and apply the new wax. Anyway, I've often wondered what would work besides using paint cleaners or finishing polishes. I know a lot of people use Dawn, but I wanted to go with products actually made for automobiles. I considered APC, but decided against it, as it's not really made for this task. What I ended up doing was using CG Citrus Wash and Gloss at their recommended "wax removing" dilution, 1 ounce to a gallon. Then as a back up, I used Griots Paint Prep on each panel. I used a BMW brand wool wash mit to wash the car with the CG wash:

... And, it worked. This combo killed all beading. And, somehow, the car remained pretty glossy with no LSP

I just wanted to post this if anyone was wondering what's a good way to remove your LSP if your paint currently clean and swirl free. Thanks for looking.

The paint prep spray per se is way more than enough to strip the wax.

Apc works extremely good for this purpose too. I used meg apc+ at 20:1, strip waxes way faster and easier than 50% ipa or any dawn wash. Just make sure rinse it off before dry

For those that apply new wax regularly. Eg. once a month. Do you always strip your old wax or just apply a new layer/s after a normal wash?

There's really no need to strip unless you're trying a new product. I just reapply

Seems kinda counter productive to use a "wash and GLOSS" shampoo when trying to REMOVE polymers, not lay them on the paint again. CG Citrus Wash Red is a much better alternative for stripping, IMO. :dblthumb2:
