Reload Streaks No Matter What I Try

I dont believe so. Products like this work by filling in and leveling out any pores in the paint. only so much product is needed for it to be effective and soak in and bond. Being that the product is water based you are not counter acting the carrier like if you got water in the mix with a...

New product: Chemical Guys - White Wax - Maximize Your Color Potential With the Brightest Shade of White

I never got on with any of the chemical guys pudding consistency products. The chemical guys video showing the performance of white wax really turned me off to it. It looks like the detailer had to literally scrub it off the paint after letting it setup for 20 minutes. Another thing I shook...

Reload Streaks No Matter What I Try

I ALWAYS dilute Reload 1:1 also. Except I do this for every color vehicle. Besides less streaking it just makes the product much more enjoyable overall. IMO the product is way to concentrated to use neat out of the bottle. And yes, the product absolutely does not work well over most oil...

Help me choose a wheel and tire cleaner.

Its really dependent on the wheel color and finish. Most OEM wheels are very stout, but the ones which are painted a dark color and clearcoated show pretty much everything. If they are powdercoated, specifically with a matte color you can typically get pretty aggressive with them. it really...

Help me choose a wheel and tire cleaner.

out of curiosity , can you link me to some info about OPC being safe for carbon ceramic brake rotors ? My new car has got these brakes and ive been going out of my way trying to figure out what products I should use when cleaning my wheels and tires without damaging anything. Its my...

    Meguiar's DUB Clean & Shine

I would say its a "similar" version to QID. not improved, as QID is an excellent product and was just released as part of the detailers line maybe last year.

Ultima -- UIGP and UTTGP -- gallon sizes??

yeah it would probably go bad before you could use it. and if you do use that much product in a relatively short time I would imagine your company is almost vendor level for purchasing products. 32oz size would be nice though. also the price is probably through the roof ! doubt AG wants to...

    The Hernandez Polisher

I would be a little suspect of those rod couplings. The threads tend to fail pretty easily if they're side loaded. They work great at holding vertically , but not horizontally. especially if they're SS. I would change them out pretty often. btw, GREAT idea !!! Awesome tool you have now !

opinions wanted: Hydrotech tangerine vs. "traditional" LC orange

I think those 3 pads are a perfect combination. And its actually the 3 I use most as well. I do most all of my polishing with an Orange LC Flat pad and most all my finishing with a HydroTech Crimson. The Tangerine pad is always used when I 1 step polish a car.

    Favorite Light Polish/Paint Cleaner?

th While you theoretically make some good points, in the real world Eraser will not remove sealants or wax. Panel Wipe is a potent product but its overly strong for the enthusiast imo and again, will not remove most polymer sealants. Fine Clay will definitely not remove wax or sealants...

"Stanced" Exotics - Someone Please Kill Me

i couldnt agree more. get a station wagon if you want to put it on air. they look best dropped anyway. dont get a hyper or super car .. hell or any car that does under a 12 sec 1/4 mile and drop it to the ground so it cant go around turns over 30 without rubbing.

    caution re: well known detailers

If you just spent big money on a brand new car and went to bring it to a reputable shop, wouldnt you like to know that the guy before you (and many others) had his car completely screwed up by them ? How would you feel if you brought your vette to the so called "best" shop in town and they...

    caution re: well known detailers

wow, sound like a similar experience I had with someone in that SAME area with clear film.. hmm. left razor blade cuts in the paint and also chipped my bumper and filled it with touch up paint.

    Rupes 15 on Vertical Panel

The Duetto will resolve this problem for you. the huge chassis of the 15 makes it harder to balance the machine on a vertical panel. with the Duetto you can pretty much just hold the head with one hand and balance the back with the other (I know, sounds like the same technique with the 15, but...

    What product to clean pads

I have found to be the Blackfire spray on pad cleaner to be absolutely amazing. I havent tried many of these pad specific cleaner, but I do know that the one blackfire makes has blown away anything else I have used. I absolutely hate cleaning pads with that powder solution. it so damn hard to...

    Sonax Polymer Net Shield

when using these products you have to simply accept the fact that they are grabby on wipeoff and dont try fighting it. You wont win. You have to work with this attribute. similar to a coating these product are very oil-free. PNS shield should be applied (IMO) somewhat heavy to a small area...
