    I would make sure the extension cord is 12 gauge if it is 100' or 14 gauge if it is 50 ft. To large of a voltage drop across an extension cord can harm the motor.

    Thanks, the clear coat and paint did not readily rinse off when I was wet sanding. I will add shampoo to the water in the spray bottle on the next scratch correction.

    I purchased and use both Griots 6" and 3" DA Polisher. I have had no problem or regrets with either purchase. I use the 3" more than the 6" because it is lighter, gets into curves and smaller places than the 6" can. In fact if I could only use one, it would be the 3" DA.
