    2005 Lexus GX470

I did a Sequoia today with the same coating and it is near impossible to get it clean (to our standards) and I used a pressure washer. Anyone have a method or product that will do the trick? Nice detail BTW. The Sequoia I did today was the same color, which, might I say, isn't the most...

    Battery Powered Waxer/Buffer

I don't know if this is feasible for some buffers, but perhaps a high-wattage power inverter?

2007 Black Corvette - Paint Correction

Absolutely amazing. I bet that was one happy 'Vette owner. Are there any special precautions that need to be taken when buffing on a fiberglass vehicle?

    2004 Toyota Camry - 1st Time w/ Rotary

Here's one of my few documented details - the Camry isn't my cup of tea especially in this color, but it turned out quite nice. (Sorry no befores of interior and engine) I've been using a PC for a while now, but decided it was time to take a step up to the Makita 9227. Exterior: DP Foam Wash...

    Oh My G

I tell all the shops my car goes in not to wash my car. My father does the same thing with his Jag. The one thing that kills us is the use of acidic cleaner on the wheels that strips off the sealant/wheelwax. Unfortunately that's just the way it is and it's good enough for most of the public. :(

Safe to run Makita off of Power Inverter?

Nice... I might pick up something like that. Perhaps I might grab a 1000W to cover myself for some other items I might want to power in the future.

Safe to run Makita off of Power Inverter?

I've got a Makita 9227 and would like to be able to run it from my Jeep somehow w/out a generator. Do you guys think it would be safe to run it off of a 1000W inverter or any inverter for that matter?

On Gas Pressure Washers. . .

Thanks for all the advice guys! I am definitely going with the Honda - perhaps not the Husky, but one with a Honda engine. On a slightly different subject (didn't want to make a new thread), how many gallons of water can I expect to use with a ~2.2gpm pressure washer to wash one car?

dsms detail- Black Audi S4(first go with the rotary)

Looks great! How did you like the Makita compared to (whatever you used before)? I'm so close to picking up a Makita I can smell it. I'd like to hear about your experience.

On Gas Pressure Washers. . .

I need a gas powered washer for mobility. Unless I could find a good generator for under $100 and then use an electric PW, I need to stick with gas.

On Gas Pressure Washers. . .

I'm looking to ad a pressure washer to my mobile detailing arsenal. Obviously I don't need 5000psi concrete breaking power, so I've been looking around in the gas powered entry level washers. These two are the ones in mind as of now (in the range of $199 to 299): HUSKY 2600 PSI Powered By...

    I have neglected my car...

Love bugs are pretty mean suckers. In the case where they were left on too long you might be out of luck and have etched clear coat in which case there is not much you can do to fix it. On the other hand, if this is the case, I would say that all you mentioned that you were going to do would...

+1 This is the primary reason I would get a p.w. I heard some take brand-specific attachments only.

Paint Thickness Gauge, Cheapo Harbor Freight First Test Results.

While we're on the subject, I've been looking for a decently priced paint meter for a while now. My father bought a "fender splendor" seen here: eBay Motors: LIGHTED Paint Meter Gauge Thickness Tester Car Gage (item 190220454328 end time May-09-08 13:14:12 PDT) I don't particularly care for it...

    I need constructive critism..

That is a blinding RED interior. Paint work looks nice. This is personal preference, but on the mats, I would keep perfectly straight lines when alternating instead of getting all twisty with it. It gives a cleaner, more uniform look IMO. Lookin' good though - practice makes perfect, or at...
