    Polish for rookies??

XMT and Poorboy SSRs are quite user friendly. Every polish line has unique characteristics which require some changes in technique but those can be found when searching for that line. For example, the SSR2.5 link in my sig, the new 'Kevin Brown Method' with Megs 105 and 205, back to the old 'add...

What do I need to do this job right?

I would recommend the SSR2.5 and SSR1 combo over the SSR2/SSR1 combo. The 2.5/1 can handle all sorts of damages depending on pad choice. Both are very easy to use, just like all PB products. To find what polishes to use, you will want to test the least aggressive method first, to ensure that...

If your looking to cure your addiction, this is the worst place to be! Once you enter the dark side (black BMW) there is no way out! Anyways, feel free to ask questions and search around, theres plenty of good info on this site. Enjoy!

    Musty smell??

That would be my guess as well. My GFs Toyota gets this smell once or twice a year and replacing the cabin air filter (behind the glove box in the Corolla) does the trick.

    Barrett-Jackson Auction

Sadly I know that the Speed Channel is 607 on DirecTV and 250 on Dish Network :). It's one of the only channels I watch. And the auction is an annual affair for me as well. It doesn't seem like there are as many 'big ticket' cars this year but still several beauties. I think it would be very...

    New alternative to halogen lighting?

Funny :). Actually I may be stopping by a HF tomorrow to check out the Collinite and other items, I'll have to see if they have any in stock. I have one of those hand held LED lights and it's bright at night but haven't used it to check paint defects yet (x-mas present).

    New alternative to halogen lighting?

While browsing the new items on the Harbor Freight site I noticed that they now carry a LED work light, similar looking to a typical 500 watt halogen. It looks like a good idea, maybe save electricity, won't get as hot, don't have to replace bulbs, but does anyone think it'll be able to show...

    Lets see everyone!

I didn't get to drive, it was a spur the moment gift and it was awesome. It's impossible to describe the feeling and 3 laps went by in a hurry. Next time I'll be on the other side of the car and at a faster track hopefully. I've been a fan for 15 years and it gives you a whole new perspective on...

    Beginning the Rotary Journey

Scrap hood is a great way to get your feet wet. It'll give you a nice foundation to your learning. Adjust the panel so you can see how the machine reacts to different angles - horizontal and vertical. I usually go to the local body shop and borrow a hood. When I'm done, I return it to their...
