Awesome! Thank you all for the help. It's much appreciated.

    Retro Detroit Muscle

Something smaller than any of the current muscle car offerings. Maybe a 66-67 Nova II.

Where can I get the CP Fog Fight spray bottle

I really like the spray bottle that Fog Fight is packaged in and was wondering if anybody knew of a place to buy them. I'm looking to make a trunk kit using several of these spray bottles...if it comes to it I might even buy some more Fog Fight just for the spray bottles!

How to achieve 95%+ correction with M105/205 with a DA polisher?

I personally have not found the orange pads to offer the kind of correction needed for a full paint correction. You might try moving down to yellow pads or using mf cutting pads.

2013 SRT Viper - Yay or Nay?

Nay because, aside from the Ferrari 599-esque front end, it looks almost identical to what's already been done with the Viper. The interior looks great though.

    Scratched up trunk paint correction

I don't have a paint thickness gauge, so I was kind of using the amount of orange peel visible in the finish as a way of knowing how much clear I'd removed and how much might be remaining. Not an exact science by any means, but it proved to be reliable. For the wet sanding itself, I just made...

    Scratched up trunk paint correction

Primarily used white 5.5" LC flat pads, with a couple spots getting an orange 4" LC ccs pad for a little extra effort. Thanks to all for compliments. When my gf's sister saw the car I guess she was stunned. I was asleep when they got home so I heard the story the next day. Apparently their mom...

    Scratched up trunk paint correction

Thanks. The scratches were actually from moving back to Seattle from Pittsburgh. Apparently the trunk was used as a staging point for boxes and other containers while getting a trailer loaded up.

    How to clean door jams?

I've been using DP waterless wash spray and a mf to wipe down jambs on my car. So far it looks to be working well.

    Scratched up trunk paint correction

Thanks for the compliment. I used the Megs G110v2. Finally got one of the improved power cord versions as a warranty replacement. I think what I'm going to do for future AIO details is pick up some Optimum Car Wax to use as a top coat so that the car stays protected a little while longer...

    Scratched up trunk paint correction

Did this repair as a favor to my gf's sister and I wanted to try out the new Optimum mf cutting pads I'd ordered. Starting out least aggressive, in the context of how bad the scratches were, meant trying the mf cutting pad w/M105. Unfortunately this combo didn't make a huge dent in the defects...

Who Thinks Autogeek Needs An In Print Catalog?

I thought this was an interesting idea when I clicked on the thread. Then I realized that I never read the Griot's catalogs I get in the mail and just go to their website when I'm interested in looking around at stuff.

    Bumper rough

As long as the clay continues picking up contaminants I would continue using it before resorting to wetsanding. If you're making passes with the clay and not seeing any further contaminants being pulled off the paint then it may be time to try another method.

    D151 vs Meg 105

Sure, no problem. That's what this place is for. :xyxthumbs: Also, if you're not already cleaning your pad after completing a panel then that's something to start doing as well. I don't have the extra cash to buy the nice pad cleaner machine so I just clean my pads by holding a damp microfiber...

    D151 vs Meg 105

Are you using a DA or rotary? I was just assuming you were using a DA, which is why I said a few drops (pea sized). By "flash" I mean the point when the m105 dries basically transparent.

    D151 vs Meg 105

It's not the easiest product to work with, but there are ways to use 105 that help mitigate the difficulties when using it. How much product are you using? Anything more than a few drops on a primed pad will only cause you more harm than good. Also, as one other poster mentioned here, working...

Spring cleaning w/2 coats of Fuzion

Thanks for the compliments, Mike. :xyxthumbs: My neighbors look at me crazy every time they see me in the driveway cleaning the car. As you mentioned, the road grime is never-ending. I would love nothing more than to have a second vehicle for commuting.

    Car Pro Glass Polish Kit

I'll actually be doing the same process on my windshield tonight or tomorrow and will take some pictures. The defects are tough to describe. They're not scratches that you can feel by dragging a fingernail across them, but they have the appearance of scratches when looking at the glass and also...

Spring cleaning w/2 coats of Fuzion

We finally had our first sunny spring weekend here in Seattle and there's nothing better in my book than a day spent in the sun cleaning my car. Ever since I started doing a foam bath pre-soak and rinsing with a pressure washer, before continuing with a normal hand wash, I have seen zero...
