Is it possible to save this windshield?

I used a brand of glass polishing pad other than CarPro once. I ended up with tiny pigtail scratches over my whole windshield. I don't remember what brand they were, I know they weren't GG. I've done plenty of windshields after that using the CarPro rayon pads with the Cerium oxide with great...

    PBMG Question

Bob actually sold PBMG to the same company who imports Sonax...drawing a blank DP was changed to McKee's 37. Why the different rules...no idea lol

    TR6---Day # 4

Definitely a huge improvement. Are you going to go ahead and polish or go one more day of #7?

    TR6---Day # 3

I know about him using #7 on old SS paint. I don't remember him doing it more than once. Definitely could have missed it since I kind of skimmed it since it wasn't information I needed at the time. Or is this a new twist on his #7 process??

    TR6---Day # 3

It'll be interesting to see if it keeps soaking it in for that long. I wouldn't think so but you never know, that paint was definitely left out to die for a long time.

    Lake Country Thin Pro pads

That's what I was thinking lol Audi paint is probably one of the hardest paints out there. If your not trying to correct anything, just remove the coating you would be ok with that setup, depending on what kind of coating. You did say just polish off the coating but after 6 months is the paint...

Fell for the sales pitch - Griots Garage Orbital

Yes a three inch will give you more cut. I wouldn't want to do a whole vehicle with three inch pads. This would give you an option to try something different without having it cost you anything, provided I do have the extra plate, I'm pretty sure I do. Honestly I haven't tried the 5" boss pads...

Fell for the sales pitch - Griots Garage Orbital

It is a good machine, I agree with everyone else that a 5" plate and pads are the way to go. I may have an extra 5" plate I can send you. If I don't have the plate I just bought 18 new pads so Incan send you some 5" boss pads so you can keep your cost down on seeing if the 5" setup gives you...

    Clay a ceramic coating?

I use a very mild clay, Sonus, on coated vehicles with McKee's 914 for clay lube without any damage or removal of the coating.

    Applying gelcoat

I guess if anyone has done this it will be someone who works on boats. I've got a guy who scraped the bottom of his scar on fiber splitter. Just trying to get a smooth finish for PPF to hold onto. I know polishing is out because of oils and sanding this material can be hazardous. I would like...

    Removing Decals From Fiberglass

Apparently lol. Wish I could help you out. The reason I asked if it might be paint is because heat didn't do anything. Can you feel a sharp edge on the decal, or are you feeling more of a raised area? I'm wondering if they painted or put gelcoat over them.
