Wetsanding Class at Autogeek - 1971 GTO - The Black Orange

Same here Mike. To me, personally, there is nothing else more fun than fully sanding a car and buffing it. Thats my major passion and its what i enjoy the most out of all. By the way mike, if that car was painted this week and was not baked. That clear should be still soft and will be a breeze...

Wetsanding Class at Autogeek - 1971 GTO - The Black Orange

I clearly understand that this will be a fun project. I having no info on this, and reading the post, i assumed a body shop this this. So me saying its unacceptable, i refer to me thinking a body shop did this. Hell, if this was a DIY project, all my props goes out to whomever did it. it sure is...

Wetsanding Class at Autogeek - 1971 GTO - The Black Orange

i most certainly dont agree with what you say. No matter what the car is going to be used for, or what, its just plain unacceptable to let a car like that out the door. The orange peel in this picture is clearly just unacceptable. Ive met guys that with no experience tackle paint jobs on their...

Deep Gloss Auto Salon Test: Optimum Compound II vs M105

Ive finished nearly LSP ready with the cyan pad on my rotary. I dont know if i could get the same results with a DA but with my rotary ive achieved awesome results with the cyan pad. I noticed that the cyan pad seem to like pressure. I wasent getting the results i wanted with the cyan pad with...

    Project: 1993 Mustang

UPDATE. So i finally got finishing blocking the whole car and i got a chance to start prepping the door jams. Since painting the door jams is the first thing that should be done before proceeding to doing the entire exterior. What annoyed me the most is that there are parts in the door jams and...

Some people need to stop acting like if they were mods... Leave that up to the mods, i seriously dont see their reason to jump and state the comments they say.

    PO85RD and Opti-Coat 2.0

Hey there Corey! So far ive only used HT crimison pad or a gray pad. Ive also heard that the blue pad is also good. But i liked it alot better how it looked with the crimison pad. Try it with your rotary, you will see a HUGE difference between using po85rd with a rotary than a DA.

    PO85RD and Opti-Coat 2.0

from my experience with po85rd and the rotary... i get best results starting at 1200rpm then bumping it down to 1000rpm and the last final pass to 600rpm. I use a crimison HT pad or black pad.

Burning through paint? what is this?

Hmm i didnt know that. Its kind of leaving the tint exposed huh? It would be more ideal to work on the actual clear rather than on the tint. I sure didnt know they released them out like that.

Burning through paint? what is this?

Tinted clears are colors that require tri-coats. Meaning the first would be the base color, then tinted clear, then clear alone. I dont believe any car manufacture dosent apply just clear alone over the tinted clear.

    Black Light meet Skyline

It says "limited"... Not, "you are NOT AT ALL suppose to talk about any other product"... Its just a show n shine, a lot o people ALWAYS mention other products on show n shine... It just amazes me how quickly people jump to say "you are not suppose to mention other non ag products".
