Sorry for the slow reply. Been traveling. I'd be concerned the cleaner would loose the adhesive that is on the film along that edge. I'd prefer an instant detailer and a detail/tooth brush. Only go along the edge - not across it.

Glass is much harder than paint, so a compound for paint may not give the results you want on glass. I'm a big believer in the correct product for the surface. Use a glass polish on glass, and a paint polish on paint.
