    Typical LC Pad Usage Amount?(Duration)

Same here, and I've used a couple of them closer to 10 times.

Tropi-Care TC8: What is comparable for finishing down?

Would these be comparable to the Meguiar's 205? Or would these be used after the 205? The only reason I'm stuck on the 205 is I can get it OTC :props: , and don't have any pressing needs for an AG order

Tropi-Care TC8: What is comparable for finishing down?

I've always used the TC-8 Swirl Cutter as my finishing step after Menzerna IP or SIP. I'm just about out, and looking for a replacement. How would the Meg 205 stack up, with an orange and/or white pad? I'm looking for something to finish down with, and it will be followed by LSP...

Is durability of tire dressings that important?

The layering is key, IMO. The first layer is relatively useless, especially on older tires. I couldn't get uniform gloss, but the tires were in sad shape and practically soaked up all the PERL. The following layers use hardly any more product, and also give me a chance to hit any spots I may...

Is durability of tire dressings that important?

For in town driving, speeds under 50, I didn't have any issues with over a week's worth of rain. This was on 30" tires on my Jeep, too. I used 3 coats of 1:1 dilution. After a week's worth of rain a bit of the shine was gone, but they were far from "bare rubber".

    huffing the finish

Is it the cold that was causing the streaking? Does anyone have any input?

Where are you located? We may be able to help you find someone local to do the work, or maybe somewhere that rents the machines you need.

Which Chemical Guys product produces the highest gloss?

I kinda like the names and labels and whatnot, just so much to choose from I'm afraid to make the jump. (Not to mention I have enough stuff to carry me for some time, anyways)

    Best/Easiest Tire Dressing

The Zaino I had used was the white, watery one. I haven't tried the new one, is it any better/worse? (I'm a stickler for the one stop shop, so now I tend to get most of my stuff from AG, which doesn't sell Zaino- I'll stick with the PERL since its so similar IMHO)

What's the strongest auto shampoo that...

Clay and sealant! That "scrubbing" you're doing can't be good for the finish :(

    Best/Easiest Tire Dressing

I'm going to agree here. My all time favorite is the Zaino tire shine, similar shine and consistency to the 1:1 PERL, but I think the Zaino streaks less. (I stick with the PERL because of the dilution and I can use it for other stuff too, it just takes a little bit longer on the applcation...

Spring 2012 - The Beast is out of Hibernation...

Car is looking great! I live in Texas, so we get to drive year round! Unfortunately, it's been raining just about solid the last 2-3 weeks, so my Mustang and Z1000 have been sitting patiently in the garage. I may need to sneak them out here in the next couple days if the sun stays out!

    Restoring black trim

Aside from darkening/protecting the trim, how are you guys buffing out any water spots and whatnot from your black trim? The trim on my Civic is in OK condition, a little "brown" and some light water marks, but I'm confident with the right process I can get it to like new condition very easily...

    Ordered my STI

Don't be afraid to cut ties, you're making a huge investment and if the dealer isn't going to help you before the car arrives, they may be even less help down the road if you need help or warranty work! Maybe look at the chain of command, and if you're still not satisfied, then go elsewhere...

I had mine done by a family friend last week, haven't seen the return yet though. (already spent it on a "new" car anyways, so not like it matters haha!)

Collinite #845: The Definitive How-To Guide For This Legendary Wax

Well, its neither cool nor warm, but it is inside the house, so it stays at a stable temperature. I hid it behind some stuff in a closet, I don't want some criminal or family member to get their hands on it without my consent :props:

Collinite #845: The Definitive How-To Guide For This Legendary Wax

I used the hot water method to help "liquify" my brand new Collinite. After the first warm water dunk, it still seemed a little solid in the center so I re-warmed the water in the microwave and dunked it a second time. This got it to the consistency we are looking for without much work/fuss...
