If You Had $5,000 to spend on Advertising What Would You Advertise With?

If you're even thinking about radio...I would swap gift certificates for advertisement. I do it with two radio stations in my area, and have been running radio ads for almost 2 years consistently. Now, I'm booked into mid May...and I wouldn't doubt the radio has something to do with it. They...

    Personal choice Question

I prefer work boots. But, when it gets hot...I wear sneakers. Reebok classics to be exact, ha. :dblthumb2:

    "Drywash" compared to water washes

And I love you, ha. :dblthumb2: And don't hate me...45 minutes is a long time to prep. We can typically do 3 vehicles in 45 minutes with the pressure washer. Shorten those days man, you're gonna kill yourself!

    "Drywash" compared to water washes

I'm certain you hit all those areas. But in reality...you are spending WAY more time to do that by not using a pressure washer. Instead you have to go and hit all that stuff by hand, which I'm sure you'd agree takes much longer. That's all I'm saying. Though it may work, and you've managed to...

How to detail a hybrid engine?

DO NOT, use a hose to rinse. Especially a hose. It's far too much water around far too many electronics. Steam only is my rule. Everything on the engine should be covered, and you could probably get away with rinsing with a hose. But honestly, it's too risky.

How to detail a hybrid engine?

I've always surface cleaned hybrid engines using a steam cleaner. It's very effective, uses little to no water, and always comes out looking great. The only trick, is that you have to keep up on it. The more filthy it gets, the tougher and longer it takes to clean. Pressure washing isn't a...

    "Drywash" compared to water washes

You know I have all the respect in the world for what you do, and what you've done with your business. You run a more than respectful business, and do fantastic work. Be that as it may. I'm definitely one of those who absolutely thinks a pressure wash will always provide a better wash. IMO...

What's the single best investment for interiors?

No, I meant for the classic Tornador. The new Black one should work.

What's the single best investment for interiors?

The Tornador Black is designed to run off small compressors actually. That's sort of the draw to it, and it claims double the power. The Tornador classic does need a bigger compressor. But, even then...I've run mine off smaller compressors before. As long as you don't pull out a pancake...

I've never used their Nano Polishing Creme. To be honest, I don't find any of malcos polishes, or compounds to be anything special. That being said, I've never tried that one. But, I've tried many...and find them all to be inferior. As an all in one...Glaze II is fantastic. I use it...

What's the single best investment for interiors?

If you have to pick one...considering the service you are already offering, I would say Tornador hands down. You can upgrade customers to a crevice cleaning, and the Tornador will make it a piece of cake. I own 2 extractors, 3 Tornadors, and a steamer. I think a Tornador is your best bet, and...

Employment issues - any and all advice welcome!

I'm still feeling your pain. I've got a guy that is attempting to work for me...but I just can't seem to get him to not be lazy. If we're working anywhere near 5 pm he starts whining like a baby. Just doesn't wanna work I guess. Not only that, he likes to text me and ask for advances on his...

So you think your steamer is pretty good eh?? lets kung foo!!!

See, that's what I like about the extractor. It will pull stains all the way up, and out of the seat or carpet. But yeah, if you don't get the stain all the way out...the stain can potentially come back. But, that's no different with a steamer too. I really feel steam cleaners are only...

Tough to get off, looks like Bird Poop

I see stuff like that on vehicles around my area. It's usually berries, or crab apples that dropped on to the vehicle. Has it been parked under any trees?

    Wrong choices?

The PC is a weak machine in my opinion. Especially in comparison to the Griots, and I assume the Flex. I've never tried the Flex, but I know it's forced rotation...which I guess to a novice makes it more risky to start with. If you want to learn, and grow as a detailer and get into things...

So you think your steamer is pretty good eh?? lets kung foo!!!

I would, except I'm planning on buying a larger Mytee for the shop, and then putting the Lite II in the van. I've actually been considering the Mytee Prep Center. That thing would be perfect for my shop. In the future I wanna buy the VX5000 too. The McCulloch has basically taught me that a...

    Finish Kare SIRR??

The Iron X spray is pretty nasty, ha. Every time I use it I smell it everywhere I got for days. Have you tried the Finish Kare? Why do you say it's not in the same league?

So you think your steamer is pretty good eh?? lets kung foo!!!

I've been using the cheap Mcculloch for probably over a year now. It's cheap, but does exactly what you saw in B&B' video. Except it only costs $100, now $80 online with some stores. I'd like to get a better steamer...but haven't needed to. I think some people tend to get caught up between...

    Finish Kare SIRR??

Thanks for the effort! I hear ya, if I was just buying it for personal use...I would absolutely just get Iron X. But, from a business stand point...it doesn't make much sense, only because I WILL use the crap out of it. Then I'm just eating into my profit, unless I charge for it, or raise...
