Hey guys. Recently, I went through my first liter of Iron X. Words can not express how much I LOVE that stuff!

So, problem is....the price tag. Roughly $125 for 5 liters just seems nuts to me.

I came across Finish Kare SIRR...which is $29 for 128 oz. Obviously a drastic change in price.

Question is...does it work anywhere near as well as Iron X? If it was even somewhat close, or I had to put a little more effort into it...I'd be fine with that. I'm trying to stay away from charging my customers to use a product like this. If I was paying $29...I wouldn't. But at $125...I'd have to charge to use it. I go through it pretty quick, as I do a lot of white vehicles.

I have actually asked other members about this product as well. I was told it is pretty harsh on paints in comparison and you really need to be careful with it.

I unfortunately do not have any experience with this product but I too was curious especially because of the price and my understanding is FK makes some very quality products.

I did do a search of the threads to see what was out there. There wasn't too much info.

All I really found was that it used to be risky on plastic chrome, and apparently they fixed that issue...

Would you happen to know what the risks are with the product?

I would assume it's probably not PH balanced like Iron X. Maybe that's the concern.

... let me do some digging around. I cannot remember if I posed the question in the chat area or in a thread. I do remember that it was definitely not the choice of some people. It might very well have been because its a very caustic chemical.

... let me see if I can find something. Be back in a few.

Thanks, man!:dblthumb2:

Argh, sorry. I must have asked someone in the chat area. Hopefully, someone can chime in and help you out. Like I said, at one point I was very curious about it however someone scared me away from it.

You might actually have to rewash the vehicle after you use it vs just rinsing off as you do ironx. Again, I could be totally wrong about this but the difference, especially with how detrimental the results could be made me sway away from the product. However I am a little different, as I do not do this professionally so the justification and possible inconvenience means different things to us.

Thanks for the effort!

I hear ya, if I was just buying it for personal use...I would absolutely just get Iron X. But, from a business stand point...it doesn't make much sense, only because I WILL use the crap out of it. Then I'm just eating into my profit, unless I charge for it, or raise prices. Both of which I'd rather not do.

If it's just a simple re-wash, I'm really fine with that. But, I understand that's just an assumption.

Somebody has gotta use the stuff! Hell, for $29...it's worth a shot anyways, ha. If it does anything close to Iron X...I'd be ecstatic.

It isnt in the same league! Try the Iron X Paste. It goes much much farther than the spray. It isnt as nasty either!

The Iron X spray is pretty nasty, ha. Every time I use it I smell it everywhere I got for days.

Have you tried the Finish Kare? Why do you say it's not in the same league?
