    i think what you maybe seeing is scratches under the clearcoat from the body shop repair. where the body shop didn't finish the repair off well enough. hard to tell with out seeing in person or with pictures.

    i would keep adding no. 7 to the paint if it is drying up that means the paint is soaking up the oils in the polis. it didn't take 24 hrs for it to get that way. it could take several apps. to get the oils back into the paint. the terry cloth towel will help get of the dried polish off as you...

    looking at your pictures it looks like the black streaks are coming from the rubber trim around your windows. I would try scrubbing one with apc. do it like they some cleaning tires an put a coat of trim sealant on it afterwards. like carpros, deluxe. jonathan

    are you using the interface pad with the trizact disc. it seems to help soften the grind of the da when using it. The last cut an buff, I used 1200,2000 and fg 400 on a orange hybrid pad with the 3401 and followed with 2500 on a white hybrid pad. it worked very nice. jonathan

    i use the 3 mil painters plastic sheets you get at lowes or home depot. they are 2 or 3 dollars for a 10x20. when they collect enough dust just carefully roll it up and throw it away. jonathan

    this looks like like a spot repair that did not get blended in. the faint line you see is the clearcoat layer on top of the orginal. open the hood an look closely at the edge and see if you see a edge or tape line or maybe a little damage under the hood. jonathan

    I have been on third shift for 23 years 10 to 6. It has to be made into a life style. sleep early, no caffine after three in the morning, no phone in the bed room, no tv in the morning, dont try to go to bed hungry, and dont let Dayshift people keep you on their agenda.     Cleaning Titanium Burnt Exhaust Tips

    I would try some carb cleaner to take the carbon off. cotton rag and let it dissolve it. A good carb cleaner should break up the carbon and leave the finnish ready to lightly polish. Jonathan
