    looks like chrome to me, if that is the case take a magnet an stick to it. scratched chrome cannot be fixed. would be cheaper to replace.jonathan

    How can you avoid "pigtails" when machine sanding?

    it does not sound like you are sanding enough with the finer grades. a pigtail shows the oscillation of the sander. you have the same marks with finer grits you just can not see them because there is more grit closer on the paper. jonathan

    who has painted over Opti-Coat 2.0?

    To get the paint to stick to the clear it has to be sanded enough for it to grab ahold to the existing paint. If thats not done the paint will just peal off. so this will remove the oc. Jonathan

    I have a friend that had one it was custom with a lt1, maroon paint black top, had over 100,000 invested in the car. About 7 or 8 years ago he thought he would carry it to Barret Jackson in palm beach to sale at no reserve. They low balled him on the car an it sold for 25,000. Need less to say...

    anybody use exhaust manifold dressings?

    The paste I have used is from eastwood. It looks good and last but I would not use it on any thing but for show. Its been own my exhaust for 2 yrs now an still doing good. But like I wrote earlier you can rub your finger on it an it will smear on your finger after 2 years. Jonathan
