Did Liquid Souveran spray change their formula? Look totally different.

I got a couple sample size Liquid Souveran spray wax bottles last summer that were a slightly milky looking light yellow color. Just now I received two more bottles with a recent order and they're much darker in color. Almost orange/brown, or like very dark urine color. Does anyone have any...

    DA Orbital Worth It?

My paint was 6 years old when I bought the car and very neglected. It was a plain dull slate grey but when I clayed it the first time, doing the first panel I suddenly realized that it was in fact metallic grey! You couldn't even see the metallic silver particles it was so bad. I clayed, hand...

    Pinnacle Souveran

Try the liquid souveran then if you haven't already. I've been using it since last summer and love it. Looks deep and wet and lasts a long time.

    Chemical Guys vs. Blackfire?

I love Pinnacle Liquid Souveran for price vs quality and ease of use. And it's on sale 2 for 1 right now! So much better than anything I ever tried OTC that it's not even comparable.

    CLeaning Sealant from Pads

Dawn and a lot of scrubbing got most of the WGDGPS off my pads. At least enough to reuse it. But never all of it. Now I just always use the same pad for sealant and nothing else. Then I couldn't get it off the towels either. They would always repel water after washing. Then I used Megs APC...

What brush to use to wash car in winter?

When it's not yet that cold out, like Nov - Dec, (and then again this past week in some unseasonably warm weather) I just put some hot water from the shower in the bucket, add soap, and then top it with cold water from the hose until it's just warm, then use my mit.

    How to clean wheel barrel?

I've used those foam sponge on a stick kitchen tools from the dollar store. They don't last very long but they're only a buck and they do the job. Mine were never very dirty though.

    Mequires Clay Kit question

I have read here that the megs smooth surface clay kit is more of a fine clay. I know that it's more aggressive than for instance pinnacle ultra fine. I used the megs my first time, on a medium gray car, and had no troubles. It worked very well and left no marks. Just use plenty of lube...

    Microfiber and Pad detergent

I've used about 5 kinds and they all work well enough. They were Micro Restore, Pinnacle, DP, Chemical Guys, and something else. My favorite by a little is probably the first one. It seems to leave towels a little bit more clingy feeling to the fingertips, which I equate with cleaner. I got...

Lake Country ruined their wash mitt.

The red Ulti-Mitt wash mitt used to be double sided so you could flip it around on your hand to the other side when the first side ran low on suds, and just keep right on washing. I loved that feature and the foam is otherwise perfect for tough but scratch free washing. But now it's only half...

    bucket dolly vs other ideas

I use a cheap office chair in the lowest position. You're only about a foot off the floor with a wide stable wheel frame and you can pick these up put out for garbage also. :xyxthumbs:

Toping over Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

I've been using LS over WGDG for two years now and it definitely adds depth/wetness - and lasts quite a long time. I do 2 WG and 1 LS on a garaged car and it gets me through the NY winter no problem. If there are any wash days left after this and before the cold I'll hit it with Pinnacle...

Is this the way to do trim?

I always figured that the paint as freshly waxed so any trim detailer would just wipe right off no problem. That's what it seems to do. Especially with these "phobic" sealants. The water from the hose seems to want to jump right off the paint. I have more trouble keeping it off the glass.

10% IPA or 5% APC before waxing?

That's what I was thinking after I recently did some paint ships on the hood and used a can of Wurth Prep-Solve I had around to clean the chips before painting. I used Dr C-Chip paint/solvent with a Lanka method card in cloth removal tool and the chips came out looking great!

    Pinnacle Ultra poly clay

I started on the Megs OTC Smooth Finish kit and it did a great job on my first ever claying. The car was 7 years old and probably never even waxed, and the grunge came off to show a metal flake I didn't even know it had. LOL I used it twice more before getting some Pinnacle clay, which is less...

Need a Cost-Effective Dashboard and Tire Protectant

I used 303 Protectant on dash, exterior trim and tires for a few years with great results. Not too shiny but great protection. Everything always looked like new, but better, and you can buy it locally if there's a boating supply store near you.

Good polish for removing clear coat scratches?

I got all my swirls out of a 7 year old neglected car with Menzerna intensive polish and an orange pad (CCS). Some spots I had to do twice but they all came out nicely. I followed it up with Menzerna Micro polish and Wolfgang sealant. It was also the first car I'd ever polished and the...

    Old product new trick

I used to do the wowo method with KSG and a very damp MF pad misted with water. After wiping on a section I'd immediately buff it off with one of those deep pile "shamrock" MF towels (those seemed to work best for this method), but with no pressure at all and very fast swipes. It was like a...
