    applied wax too thick...

I finally had time to wax the car with the Bouncer's Vanilla Ice wax I picked up awhile back. It's actually my first paste wax I've used. Other products I have are Collinite 845, OCW, and Mother's liquid waxes. I had a difficult time applying and taking off the Vanilla Ice because of my...

How to Mix IPA for Inspecting Correction Results

I bought some 71% IPA and I have a 32oz bottle. How much ounce of IPA do I need to make around 11% IPA? I'm bad at calculations so if someone can help that would be great.

    No lying. Let's be honest.

Well if you can't do the roof does that mean you will charge less because you didn't do paint correction on the roof? I think the roof is pretty important and needs to be polished and wax especially if they client is coming in for paint correction. That's where I get a lot of bird droppings...

    half way through polishing....

thank you swanicyouth. This was really my first time using the PCXP extensively. I had done it last year but it was only on the trunk panel. I used Poorboys with Sealant at that time with a white LC flat pad but the next day I checked it the trunk lid was still full of swirls when I had a good...

    half way through polishing....

Hi guys, I just polished the majority of the car with Menzerna SIP - Super Intensive Polish (SI 1500) PO 83 with my PC 7424XP with an LC flat orange pad. I was wondering after the polishing do you guys put a LSP on the spots you guys polish or should I just leave it for the next day and finish...

    noob detail

Yah he was very pleased. I tried helping him stop but he's been smoking for more than 40 years and he just can't do it. I told him to stop smokin in the car though. Hopefully he listens. My mom saw me washing the Corolla and asked me to wash her Toyota Highlander too. After I ran some errands...

    noob detail

I decided today to finally give my dad's car a full interior and exterior detail on his 2011 Toyota Corolla S. He's a smoker and the interior was in rough shape. One of the carpets had some kind of chocolate spilled all over it and has harden. The door jams was particular difficult for me. There...

    Cleaning rust check oil...

I'm planning to tackle a interior job. The interior is in bad shape and would like some advice on how to go about this. First of all all the door jambs have that rust proof oil and dust and ashes from my dad smoking in the car. I cleaned it a few months ago but didn't do a thorough job and...

    OCW - Preferred Application?

Not really difficult but it felt like really grappy and I really had to use some pressure on the towel to wipe it off which goes against all the stuff I've been reading on here. You're supposed to gently wipe off the wax with light pressure no? I just don't want to instill deep towel scratches...

Reviewed: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

Didn't realized how much gloss the CG citrus wash and gloss left behind until I used Meguiars Gold Glass today. The Megs didn't leave and nice gloss behind. The Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss definitely leave a nice gloss behind after you dry the vehicle.

    OCW - Preferred Application?

Thanks. So that's what I've been doing wrong. I made a thread awhile back about the difficult time I was having using OCW and nobody mention that. What kind of MF is best for this? I got tons of new MF towels I picked up from Microfibertech and some CG towels. Also I've read that some here...

I really need to find this Folex. I'm surprised I haven't seen it at either Home Depot or Canadian Tire. I'm there like almost every week!

Collinite #845: The Definitive How-To Guide For This Legendary Wax

I'm planning to remove the Collinite 845 wax I put on my car for the winter. It's been topped with OCW a few times too. I was wondering what would be the best way to strip the wax off so I can do some paint correction? I've heard of using OPC, dawn, and a more CG Citrus wash and gloss. These...

    OCW - Preferred Application?

The two times I used this I found it difficult to use. Seems like most of are use a MF towel as applicator. I was using the yellow applicator I bought from AG. Maybe that's why I couldn't spread it as thin. Felt like it was dragging. First time I use too much product. The second time I tried to...

Horrible things you've seen walking by cars.

Saw this happened not too long ago at the gas station. I couldn't believe it. It was an old guy probably in his 70's doing it. Kind of felt sorry for the guy though.

    Weight cut

That is an awesome garage setup you got. I'd wish I have something like that someday. I see that you got to power racks. Is one of them specific for something? Also gives me some more motivation to reach my fitness goals. I've only had a six pack like 2-3 years ago when I was doing tons of...
