    Interior Detailing Essentials

Id add a small air compressor to your list of tools. Like 3-6 gallons for blowing out cracks and crevices. After using air for a while, i find it very necessary to clean worse than average interiors

    Complimentary detail question

I suggest doing the minimal amount to get the job done if its free. Detailing is very underappreciated. Nobody will notice or appreciate the extra work that you can do unless theyre paying good money. I also suggest to start charging what you feel comfortable charging. Let this mercedes be the...

    may be purchasing extractor opinions?

I think the real benefit of using the extractor over hand shampooing and wet vac is the amount of suction you get from the extractor. A lot of vacuums you get at home depot, even the big hp 16 gallon ones, have like 60" of water lift, while most extractors have well over 100". Hand shampooing...

Power Inverter to run PC and ShopVAC

Yes, im aware of bloated hp ratings. When i wrote "power" i meant peak wattage. The hf generator can handle 900 peak watts, about 7-8 amps. My small ridgid 4 gallon vac is 9 amps. My understanding is that a lot of detailers use vacs atleast that "watt heavy"

    equipment question

Just go straight to wax or sealant after clay if you don't have a machine to polish with. Or just do it by hand. Then get the harbor freight da when you can afford it.

Power Inverter to run PC and ShopVAC

I was going to pick up that generator, but the power ratings are still too low to power a decent vacuum. I think it's a better idea than risking it on a cheap inverter though

    Show your mobile van setup!

It's very doable to work out of a car. When I do dealer work out of town, I fit almost everything from my expedition in my honda civic coupe. It's just not as organized, but it can be if I intended to use the civic primarily

Power Inverter to run PC and ShopVAC

I've read on here that it's a good idea to invest in a marine battery, appropriate cables and a bigger alternator if you're going to be using it regularly and with heavier wattage. I've personally tried one of those cheap 750/1500 inverters from walmart, but the biggest vacuum I could use that...

Help! how to clean cloth seats by hand?

If you have spot staining on the seat, then Folex is ok. If it's really stained then you'd have to use something stronger than a neutral spotter like Folex. If the whole seat is dirty, I'd use a foaming upholstery aerosol like tuff stuff and blue coral. It'll be less wet and no wicking
