Rare Time capsule 1987 Silverado with only 37 MILES!!!!

Wow. Looks great. I do wonder what the rationale is in preserving those particular trucks. I bet they’re worth a bit now though. I hope he paid you for those pads! Crazy. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

    This Pollen Thing!

Hey if you really want to make it fun, section in quarters. You could do PNS alone with no touch after wash, PNS+BSD applied after wash, and then quarters with the McKees over both. That would be interesting. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

    Polish Angel Products

It’s not that I don’t like it. I just have a lot of stuff that I like better. It just got lost in the mix. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

    This Pollen Thing!

I would say don’t use a topper after a wash. If you have a good sealant on there (I’m using PNS at the moment), just wash, dry and roll with it. I feel like any spray plus buffing attracts pollen. In my experience, the super slick carnuba based spray waxes/detailers are the worst. I’m guessing...

    Polish Angel Products

I have about 3/4 of a bottle of gold zircon if anyone is interested. I’ll let it go cheap. Not sure what shipping would look like tho. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

    Polishing Paint Protection Film

Hey Mike, When you say a soft pad, how soft are we talking? I used a light polishing pad with the perfecting cream. Should I go softer? I would like to get it better, but I kinda gave up because I didn’t want to totally ruin it. It’s Xpel ultimate. I could try a black pad. Thanks. John...

    Polishing Paint Protection Film

I used Griots Perfecting Cream. I used virtually no pressure. It probably looks better than it did when I got the car back, but it still looks a little cloudy. The good news is that if you mess it up, you can replace it. I’ll do that at some point, but it doesn’t bother me enough to do so now...

    Polishing Paint Protection Film

I have full front ppf on my car, and a body shop installed some blemishes on it when they repaired a door. I tried lightly polishing, and in the area I did it, I think it left a little haze. It’s probably slightly better, but honestly, I don’t think polishing ppf on a big panel like a hood goes...

    Compound and Polish recommendations

If your paint is in pretty good shape, you might not need a compound... you could probably get away with a polish. I have to throw Optimum Hyper Polish into the discussion. I used it yesterday to finally polish a door that had some body shop machine marks on it and the rear deck behind the...

    2016 CTS-V Black Diamond

Looks awesome! I’ve seen a lot of swirled up black Cadillacs... that color really brings out the imperfections. You killed it. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

    Bought a Griot’s G9, a couple simple questions.

I would get the 5” backing plate for the G9... then you can keep your pads. I’ve never liked the 6.5” pads. I have a GG 6, and with the 5” backing plate, I use all kinda of pads, including LC. No compatibility issues. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

Recommend me a new product line to use

Can’s speak for other Sonax products, but the CutMax does not dust at all. Nor does HyperPolish. I’m really sensitive about this cuz I basically ruined a windshield from unknowingly rubbing a bunch of compound dust into it. It was from Boss FCC. I love the stuff, but def dusty. Sent from my...

    Which would you choose?

Yeah PNS is definitely not very slick. But frankly, the slickest sealants and sprays that I have seem to attract the most dust. I was addressing your lack of time to dedicate. If you can get over the slickness, PNS (and I’ve heard BSD) are pretty awesome products. They will keep your vehicles...

    Which would you choose?

Then you should use PNS. I have sprayed off my car with a pressure washer only twice in the last month. It has rained multiple times, and my car sits outside. It basically looks clean. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

    Which would you choose?

Sonax PNS. It takes a little longer than a simple spray wax, but it lasts a long time and stays incredibly clean. Sorry for not picking from your options... I just love PNS right now. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

Recommend me a new product line to use

I’m gonna throw out Optimum Hyperpolish. It’s incredibly versatile (can correct or finish depending on pad used), has basically unlimited working time, doesn’t dust, and finishes great (on a polishing pad). It’s very good stuff. If you need more, Sonax CutMax is just crazy effective with a MF...

If you could only use two or three product lines for all your detailing needs, what would you choose?

I’m a huge fan of Sonax right now. I feel like that and Wolfgang would get me there. Of course tools would be separate. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

Old school interior protection products, do I need to upgrade?

Hey your review was the reason I bought the Gyeon product! Yeah it’s hard to say how long it really lasts. The slickness did not last long on the drivers seat, but maybe it’s still there. I just know the drivers seat is getting a bit shiny recently, which makes me think there isn’t much...
