    Needing some help PLEASE

It looks like you've made decent progress. In this case it seems to me you need a more aggressive pad or need to improve your technique. Meg's 105 is the cream of the crop for paint correction. Are you going really slow in straight overlapping passes? You've gotta give your machine enough time...

    Homemade soap

I know a lot about making soaps. It can get expensive when starting out. You'll need lots of different oils, lye, and equipment. There is cold process and hot process. Liquid soaps are a little easier. There is a insane amount of how to's on YouTube. Start with Soaping 101. They have a huge...

    Needing some help PLEASE

Meg's is known for dusting a lot and it's not sun friendly, hopefully you aren't doing this on a hot surface. Eighty percent isn't bad to be honest, can you do better? Probably but you've always got to keep realistic expectations. Some pictures would be helpful. The pads you use are just as...

My desire is to get into mobile detailing...PLEASE HELP!!!

I don't have one yet but it's on the priority list. It will make cleaning anything that much faster and easier. I doubt I'll invest in a extractor, dry foam cleaner and a wool pad on a rotary works great for me.

    Charging by the linear foot?

Cool thanks for clearing that up. I should definitely buy some RV gear and get into this, it seems like a pretty good payday. Is it advisable to have a helper working when working on them?

    Charging by the linear foot?

I notice you guys charge by the foot when working on RVs and boats. How exactly do you calculate this? Do you measure four sides and the roof to get the total footage?

I plasti dipped my bumpers but maybe it was a bad idea

Yes definitely thicker is better. I followed dipmycars tutorial and masked above the area being sprayed so you could just peel the excess off the paint leaving a clean edge. It kept breaking when I pulled on it because it was thin in some spots.

I plasti dipped my bumpers but maybe it was a bad idea

When I was cleaning off the overspray the next day I nicked the top of the dipped panel and it tore a little. Even my finger nails can tear it very easily. I think my problem is that it's too thin. I sprayed a ridiculous amount of coats on the rear bumper step and it feels solid like a rubber...

Forced to live with BROWN tires?

I don't think this is normal at all, I'd be back at the tire shop yelling at somebody by now or calling Yokohama demanding new tires.

New car coming & messed up existing Car!!!

Yes! You should pull the plug and get one. I'm not sure you realize what you are getting into going at this by hand and your results will be less than satisfactory in my opinion. Dont get me wrong, you can do a lot by hand but it just isn't the same. Don't be afraid of the clay, there is nothing...

I plasti dipped my bumpers but maybe it was a bad idea

Hey guys, I have a Expedition and as you may know it has unpainted bumpers and plastic panels on the doors. At least mine does and over time they fade really bad. I was tired of constantly using snake oils to keep them looking decent. It wasn't even making them look dark enough anymore so I...

They are all pretty good, try the Meguiars or Optimum. Those are a good value and you won't be disappointed.

    Should I bother?

Spend a couple hundred and plasti dip it with some metalizer, that would look pretty awesome.

Mold Car - Restored by Visual Pro Detailing

Titanium dioxide is amazing stuff, it can kill anthrax yet completely safe. UV light is converted into hydrogen peroxide by the TIO2 and actually works for years after application. I love the stuff and use it for all kinds of things I want to stay clean. It is used a lot on building structures...

    Opinions on Website

Ok so I think any marketing guru is going to agree that you're missing a call to action. I'd get rid of the cheesy blue vista print graphic with your number on it and just put some nice bold text in black across the top that says "Call us today to reserve your detailing appointment at...

Importance of the word 'detailing' in a business name

There is a detailer not far from me with a YouTube channel and he always talks about how most of his work comes from his website now. I guess it all depends on who you ask and where you work.

Importance of the word 'detailing' in a business name

Do you have a pic? Do you get a lot of people calling about scratches that can't be buffed out? Or are you doing touch up paint scratch repair?
