    can I afford life

Yeah dude, I'm forty and am detailing as a last resort because I was too lazy to go to school. Trust me detailing is twice as hard when you get older when your body starts to hurt. You can make ok money but it's not glamorous work for most of us. You should bust your ass in school and land a...

    First really bad interior.

You're right that is a bit off the wall, it must be nice to have cash like that just laying around the trunk, sheesh.

Importance of the word 'detailing' in a business name

That's so funny I've been asking myself this same question. I'm getting some nicer cards made and am going after upper middle class (more about that in a post tomorrow), but I'd like a fancier way to say what I do without saying "detailing". It makes me feel like a glorified car washer, which is...

Mercedes A45 AMG - Less than 3.000 miles and paintwork in a horrendous shape

Looks awesome. You spray the coating on with a paint sprayer? That's new to me, can you share more details about that?

    Pet Hair

I heard a rumor that using neoprene gloves are the way to go but I've never tried it since I haven't come across any at a decent price. It's the material wetsuits are made from or wetsuit gloves I guess.

What's the best way to clean, or defuzz, BMW door trim?

I still get blown away every time I use my cheap pumice stone when I need to de-shed anything in a car. Who'd ever thunk a rock can be that effective on pet fur and lint.

Nice! I'm a Meg's guy but this sure makes me want to pick up a bottle and give Menz a test run.

    help a newb out with touch-up paint/wet-sanding

A lot of scratch repair kits come with a putty filler and paint leveler liquid. You basically rub the paint into the scratch after the filler dries and use the paint leveling solution to wipe the access paint off around the scratch. Try doing some research on that.

Does Dawn original leave horrible residues? Or is this from drying too fast?

That looks exactly like what I have to deal with when it dries too fast using California tap water. The water here is horrible, twenty years ago washing and drying a car was a lot easier and didn't do this.

    help a newb out with touch-up paint/wet-sanding

I think this is one of those trial and error situations. If it were me I would spray paint it. Try brushing some on and see how it goes. You can always wipe it off real quick and then adjust your technique of you need to. You'll need to paint it thin and then feather the edges best you can to...

Chemical Guys Black and White Wax's

I am going to guess its a lot like Meg's white wax. It's basically a cleaner wax with extra cleaners in it.

    Windshield cleaning

I don't recall seeing it mentioned. Also he said it's mostly a weekend car not driven much, so I assumed the problem was on the inside. If that's the case my mistake.

    Some Advice Please!

I think after you get your machine the Ultimate compound will obliterate those remaining swirls with those orange pads. You may want to try Ultimate Polish first. Always go for the least aggressive method that works. What color did you say the car is?
