    7424XP included pad uses?

The pad with the 7424XP is probably the same pad that was included with the 7424, but I don't know that for sure. I used mine as a polishing pad for various swirl removal jobs for a long time. Other than the inconvenience of screwing it on and off, I didn't see anything wrong with it.

The One Product You Couldn't Detail Without

This is one I would have to pass on. While I do have favorites, I do think I could switch to any of dozens of products and probably get good results. For me, it's less a case of finding a product to use and more of a problem deciding which of several to use. We are extremely fortunate to have...

    When does rinseless become waterless?

Seems like a matter of semantics to me. Most if not all waterless washes do have water in them, it just is added at the place of packaging instead of by the end user. At least one "waterless" wash can be purchased in concentrate form and the water is added by the end user. Waterless and...

How many cars do you do a week? What do you do to each car? :) Regular hose & bucket wash, (A rarity for me anymore)- 1 or 2 for drying Rinseless wash- 2 for drying Waterless wash- 2 to 6 QD- 2 Spray wax- 2 Remove polish- 1 or 2 Remove wax/sealant- 1 or 2 Windows- 1 or 2 waffle weave Door...

What is this and how to stop it!?!?

Based on the pictures, I have to agree that the problem is much more than just clearcoat failure. Could the vehicle have been repainted? Maybe just the hood has been refinished. Anyway, stripping and refinishing the hood would be my first step and hope the rest of the vehicle's paint doesn't do...

Small bottles of 105 and 205

:iagree:I agree completely with what you are saying, but....... I think Mister B is referring to the sample program that ADS has. I also think he was saying that a sample program from AG would be nice. While it might not be practical for AG, it still would be nice. :props:

Small bottles of 105 and 205

While smaller bottles are not something on my wish list, I do find that a 32 oz. bottle of product will last me several years. For the people doing vehicles for customers, the large sizes make sense. For us hobby detailers, even 16 oz. bottles last years.

    Temperature question

Having a garage makes it easier for me. I use a portable kerosene heater to get to temperatures that seem to work for me. A rough guide from my experience. (In the garage, no wind) 60+ - Everything seems to work good 50 to 60 - Most products seem to work adequately, but drying times are...

    optimum opinions

Basically, yes. It's hard to find anything more user friendly than KAIO. :) The Poli-Seal has some abrasive cleaning/polishing power, but it is still pretty mild. I use it with a PC and a polishing pad as a cleaner prep. I have also read where it has been used by hand with good results. There...

    optimum opinions

Some people remove the Poli-Seal residue with OCW. When worked properly for polishing, the Poli-Seal leaves very little residue and you can combine a couple of steps. I have used Duragloss Aqua Wax in that manner and it seemed to work great. I still followed up with the Opti-Seal since I haven't...

    optimum opinions

A pretty normal maintenance detail for me includes polishing with Pol-Seal and Opti-Seal for my LSP. Take a good look the day after you apply the Opti-Seal. You may decide you don't need to top it with anything. I have never used Optimum's spray wax or quick detailer. I do use and like ONR, but...

    Harley Mirror Detailing

Interesting that Sporsters are referred to as beginner or girly bikes. I have a good friend that just purchased a 1200 Sportster and to me it looks more like a motorcycle than the saddle bag, windshield, fairing, hand grip tassle, everything but the kitchen sink road whales that the Harley crowd...

Review of many Poorboy's product, Natty Red Vs. Blue

Are you referring to Klasse AIO, (All In One) or Klasse SG, (Sealant Glaze)? For someone that doesn't have much monsy, you sure do buy a lot of products. :)

How Cold Can It Be For Paint Correction, Waxing/Sealing?

First off, you might consider adding some heat to your unheated garage. :) I heat mine with a kerosene fired construction heater. As far as temperatures for products, I have good luck with about everything down to about 60 degrees. In the 50's, some products get a little iffy for removal and...

Montana Boars Hair trashed my finish!!

This discussion really needs another thread. :) To answer your question, I would spray off that vehicle at the DIY wash, then use the ONR. It might be interesting to see the opinions of others.

A few quick questions on ONR

Your questions have been answered by some very caopable people, but I couldn't resist a "Cliff's Notes" response. :D Yes. No. Yes. :p :bolt:

    Collonite 845, 915, 476 Experience/Recommendations?

I'm pretty sure that #845 is not a cleaner wax. It will shine and protect, but not clean.

    Collonite 845, 915, 476 Experience/Recommendations?

We get quite a bit of snow and ice with the accompanying salt applications by the DOT. It was my LSP and I did apply two coats of the #845 to assure complete coverage. I don't happen to be one that goes in for topping a sealant or for that matter any LSP. If I don't like the look of a product, I...
