    X6 M\\\ at Detailien Hives

Wow, that's a polarizing vehicle. There are a lot of haters out there, but don't count me as one. I LOVE that thing. Great work.

    Turning a "50 footer" into a "5 footer"... 2001 Lexus IS300 - the worst paint I have ever seen. You've been warned.

Great work, on a "classic car." Seriously, that's my favorite generation of the IS. I know it didn't go over well here, but I loved it.

15 detailers and 2 gallons of wax later.... B-24 Liberator "Witchcraft"

Pure and simple: you win. Best detailing job ever. What an honor.

    2010 Audi R8 V10

Brand pride is a funny thing. I've owned an Audi (A5 Cabrio) for less than a year, but it turned the R8 from a car that I thought was cool into a car that I really want to own. You're a lucky man.

    1957 Corvette

Breathtaking car. What a privilege it was to work on it, although with the way it turned out, it looks like that was a two way street!

What's the correct way to dry your car after washing with the two bucket method?

Sheeting method + leaf blower. Neighbors are going to think you're crazy unless you live next to a car nut, who will realize the brilliance of it and ask to borrow it.

My first Audi, and it was a beast! S6 Correction, Opti-Coat, and Interior Detail

Makes me miss having a white car. Great job on a beautiful car.

    71 Chevelle Convertible

I am in love with that car. Holy crap, it's nice.

    The most over-rated products?

I agree with your observations. I keep some Sonax on hand just in case, but IMHO it's wasteful to use it on regularly maintained wheels.

    Acura MDX

What a turnaround. I know it's hard for auto enthusiasts to understand how a person could treat their vehicle so poorly, but some people really just don't care--regardless of how much they spent on it. But, I suspect some folks don't know the damage they've done until they take a step back...

How do you take pictures so the sun is not washed out?

This. A great piece of advice. I know it can be a PITA processing RAW images sometimes instead of quickly uploading your JPEGs, but it is worth it a million times over.

    1963 Corvette - Anthony's Auto Detailing

Gets my vote for best detail on the coolest car ever.

Scratching the car with Rinseless/Waterless wash?

Seriously, we should have a whole forum section on this debate. Anyway, count me among the converted. I've been using ONR + GD method, pre-soaking the panels with ONR QD ratio. I don't see anything wrong with my admittedly light colored, hard-coated Audi paint, and I feel much better about...

2006 Monterey Red Corvette Restoration - It all started with a "scratch"

This is as good a post as there is on AG. Well written, dare I say I was riveted as I read it--hoping it would turn out okay. Well, it turned out way beyond okay. Seriously, this is awesome!

How to bond with your teenager

You hit the nail right on the head. It's the electronic distractions that impede familial relationships. Whether it's me checking email or my kids reading or playing games on the iPad, it halts communication. The OP's scenario is a great example of how when two people get together to do a...
