    TORQ10FX Random Orbital

The PC has been out forever. Very reliable, but big-time under powered. These days, all popular polishers offer better performance than the PC—like the Griots, Flex, Rupes, Meguiars, even Harbor Freight.

Menz 4500 vs. Reflect --- comparison

Great advice from Zach. I had nothing but success with Reflect on Rupes Yellow, LC HT Tangerine, LC White Hybrid. Using Rupes 15,21, Flex 3401, and rotary.

    TORQ10FX Random Orbital

Wow! if you think a PC is smooth...then a Flex or Rupes is smooth x 100. I lost teeth using the PC.:dblthumb2:

    TORQ10FX Random Orbital

The PC has almost zero ergonomics and requires you to grip the body of the tool which is much larger than any handle on any power tool. In conjunction with the jackhammer-like vibration, the PC can be uncomfortable for many users. Grip is a huge determinant when it comes to comfort—much like...

The NEW FLEX PE8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher in ACTION!

Re: The NEW Flex PE8 Precision Rotary Polisher in ACTION! :iagree: If I had a choice, I would take a "trigger" over "on/off switch" every time. If Flex is listening, please make it variable so it can be feathered just like it's brother the PE-14.:xyxthumbs:

    Review: LC HD Orbital Pads

Are you using pre production LC HD pads? Cause I have a KB exact fit 5 1/4" backing plate. It's not a perfect fit. 5 1/4" is a little too big for the 5" velcro on the LC HD pads. Using the standard Rupes 5" backing is much better fit since actual measurement is 4 7/8".

    Review: LC HD Orbital Pads

Which pad did you use, on what machine, with what product? I really wanted the HD to blow away Rupes pads too.....it just didn't happen.

    Review: LC HD Orbital Pads

The edges are too thin and will tear; especially on the super soft red pad. In opinion, it's because the LC HD have more angled bevel. This makes the tip of edges very thin. The Rupes pads have are a little bigger on the velcro side and a little small on the face. The Rupes also have a tiny...

    Review: LC HD Orbital Pads

Nice review. I like the LC HD orange and blue too, but I still prefer the Rupes Blue and Yellow pad.

    waterless vs water

There's plenty of areas in California that flat out do not allow you to wash your car in the driveway. On top of that, all of California is banned from washing cars without a nozzle (free flowing running water). Doing so is punishable up to a $500 fine.

Non-Pro Coating Comparison Discussion: Which is the best coating available to NON-professionals?

Virtually all the coatings available at AG are good. For non pros, its the ease of application that should matter most. Durability is way overrated, most coatings will last 2 years, at which time 99% of daily drivers will have swirls and need to be polished. Moreover, folks on these type...

    Paint Depth/Thickness Gauge Question....

That's the same unit. The $150-$300 range all come from China. Same unit as those sold on EBay. They work fine. I have one that is 4 years old. Accuracy was within .0001 of $2000 unit.

Lake Country HD Orbital Foam Pads IN STOCK!

Got to use the the red and orange HD pads on a curved panel. It seems to rotate better on curve panels because the actual foam is so thin and the rubber backing is real stiff. The stiff backing gives the Rupes the need traction to spin in curved areas. It's a real well built pad!
