    303 fabric guard on Alcantara?

Anybody treated Alcantara with 303 FG? I'm not sure if it's a good or bad idea, would like some input from anyone who might have done it. Thanks.

Applying CQuartz UK at 103 Degrees?!?

Just throwing this out there, but would refrigeration of the product itself help any? Might be a good question for Corey or Avi.

    Headlight restoration by hand

The sanding by hand is the easy part. Compounding and polishing take more effort by hand and don't typically yield as good a result. Use a light touch with the heavier grits and you won't have as much to do with the lighter grits. Anything can be accomplished with time and muscle though, you...

    Terrible experience with Quartz UK

Gloss coat is super easy. I can vouch for that first hand. But it comes with a higher price tag, too. Stop where you are, let whatever CQUK is currently on the vehicle cure enough to remove, polish it off, and try again with the remaining CQUK, or another product altogether.

Anyone run into xzilon coated cars?

If you want an answer that only affirms what you want to hear, stop reading right now. You cannot step in between the owner, dealership, and xzilion without breaking the warranty in place. anything you attempt to do to that vehicle short of a hand wash will likely void out the owners...

Anyone run into xzilon coated cars?

If you remove their pre-installed holograms, they are going to know it wasn't one of their guy's work.

Looking for that deep dark looking wax

I'm going to suggest what you're looking for isn't going to be found in a wax, it's going to be found correcting the paint with an ultra fine Polish. Whatever you put on that will look wet.

    Dust and black cars

You both are way more brave than I. I cannot bring myself to believe in the California duster. There's just something about it that goes against my instincts on best practices for paint care. Running anything dry over the paint sends chills up my spine, especially something that gets...

    Dust and black cars

Get the color you want, coat it, hand wash it weekly. Keep it in the garage if you can, morning dew can cause the dust to stick and look dirty. If it's coated, freshly accumulated dust can be blown off the car with a leaf blower or dedicated car blower. It won't be 100% clean, but it'll...

Product Review: Race Ramps Flatstoppers Tire Supports

I thought modern tires were not prone to flat spots, and that myth has still been perpetuated from very old tires? Am I off on this?

poor boys natty blue vs collinite 845/915

Agree 100%. I merely tailored my post to the OP's specific questio. I find it more personable that way.

Cyclo Brush on PC, use the washers?

Great, that's exactly what I experienced. I tried the washer first, but didn't like the way it was bending backward when it contacted those little nubs, so I pulled the brush back off and removed the washer and put it back on the plate. Thanks for the confirmation.

poor boys natty blue vs collinite 845/915

Nattys does not have the longevity of collinite at all. It goes on and off very easily though. Good for right before going to a car show. If your buddy did half your hood in collinite and half in natty blue, I doubt you'd be able to tell which was which.

Product Review: Race Ramps 2 Piece Car Service Ramps - 67"

+1000 I had a set of rhino ramps that would scare the crap out of me driving up with my old truck. These don't budge, even on the slick finished concrete garage floor. Love the removeable section as well. It's the only ramp that lets me pull the challenger up without destroying the front...

Introducing the DP Turbo Car Dryer! 6.5 Peak Horsepower Blower for Drying Your Car!

Just thinking out loud here, Perhaps putting the short connector tube in the freezer for a few minutes could cause it to shrink up a bit and you might be able to insert it further. When it expands to room temp it might hold tightly. Wait, that might be backwards, might need heat. Dang it, I'll...

Introducing the DP Turbo Car Dryer! 6.5 Peak Horsepower Blower for Drying Your Car!

This is a little disheartening to hear. I just bought my unit and it arrived on Thursday. Haven't tried it yet. I did notice putting it together there seemed to be a tiny tab on one of the tubes but I didn't see any matching receiver for it. Might disassemble it and look closer at it to...

    Porter Cable 7346

That's the newer iteration of the PC7336. It's the higher AMP model DA sander (4.5AMP vs. the older 3.7AMP motor. Given the correct backing plate and counter weight, it should work just like a PC7424XP.

Am I Crazy? Detailing a Fridge??

Richy, you aren't alone. I've polished it the fridge due to our 2 year old dragging a nail file across it, and I've polished the gel coat on the cultured marble in our master bath. Dish washer is next in the hit list.
