    Where are the new products?

This thread is the evidence of a world of instant gratification. It amazes me to think that folks can't wait a few days for a product to be detailed out for them to gawk about. Is it really affecting your life that much to not know TODAY what is being unveiled at SEMA? If so, you have other...

    Where are the new products?

I have wondered that as well. Having tried a few different lines, OPT is the one that I want to try all of; especially now that they have the pad/polish combo. That what I was thinking. But, if you think about it, it is not that far from what most detailers do with their "product". So you...

    Quick Wash Price?

Exactly! At $25 I'm not making a killing, but I make money. Also, since I am not full time I can usually afford the luxury of taking care of people here and there with the small things (quick vacuum the interior, maybe windows, etc.). My plain wash generally consists of 2 Bucket wash, dry...

requesting some help with rotary technique...

I have started doing this more and more. With different pads and different panels the sensation is going to be different. Remember that on a flat horizontal panel (roof, hood, etc.) that you have the weight of the machine + your pressure. When you are on anything else, you have to...

    2002 F350.....32 hours

Good job! Stinks about it getting dirty as soon as you finish, but, at least you just have to wash it now to get it looking good again. Very nice though, thanks for sharing. DLB

Yet another BMW Brake Dust Thread

In fact, seeing your pictures posted above reminds me of this set of wheel I did on an F450 Dually - these were the inside of the front wheels, but got rotated around to the back. Meg's WB in action! Before: First Wash with a soft wheel brush - no dwell time: Second Wash with a soft wheel...

Yet another BMW Brake Dust Thread

werd. Meguiars Wheel Brightener Iron-X gets used on paint for me. If the wheels don't come clean with APC, just use the WB and be done. Plus it is a lot cheaper than any of the other alternatives. DLB

M105 dust is re-marring my paint

This. If you are certain that is where your swirls are coming from, why continue to do it? It is not necessary. Personally I just leave the dust everywhere, then wash the vehicle when I am done with 105. You could probably just pressure wash the vehicle and achieve the same, but a wash with...

2008 Altima Correction? and yes its BLACK

:iagree: Just a tip - when posting links to pictures, if you will use the "img" tags, you will have pictures and not links in your post. The "img" tags are which goes at the end. So it will look like this (this one includes the URL tags as well so you can see what I am talking about. And...

How do dilute a product exactly?

You don't need anything magic to help you, it is VERY simple math. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/tricks-tips-techniques/38637-how-dilution-ratio-s.html It boils down to divide how much you want by how many total parts you have. DLB

    Cleaning the seat belts?

I agree with cutter on this for sure. I know a local detailer that told me to take them out and soak them, but that is a lot of work on a quick interior clean up. Usually some OPC and a brush will do it though. I usually just wipe off with a wet terry towel. See above link for Optimum Power...

    Hydro Tech Pads...

I agree 100% with the above. I recently finished the first step of polishing out my Black '03 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. I used M105, A Makita 9227 Rotary and PCXP (on speed 6 the whole time) with Cyan HT Pads. I did the entire truck (including the fiberglass bed cover) in one session, and used 4...

Info on Wilbert's Auto Plate (circa 1950's)

That's very cool. I remember watching an episode of American Pickers one time and they panned across an older guy's shelf which had a bunch of old waxes on there. The only one I recognized was the Collinite Sapphire. I would like to see what that does on single stage paint and laquer, as...

Best way to approach this carpet?

I have done plenty of carpets this way (pressure washing) so I can only give you advice based on my personal experience. You definitely don't see it come up much, I think most folks are too intimated or lazy to try it honestly. If you have OPC, you are set. You said you had the scrubbing...

Best way to approach this carpet?

Without hesitation! With some good APC (I always have results with Meg's APC+ or Opt. Power Clean), a little scrubbing, and repeated pressure washing, you can make that carpet look TOTALLY different. I won't say 100% restored, because I can't tell the exact condition. But it will be clean...
