Look What I Saw A New Winged Daytona

The 70's Challenger looked similar to a charger, like the Charger, Challenger, early Pontiac GTOs, 1967-1969 Camaros looked. Long, failry wide, and with large flat sections. To a lesser degree, the Mercury Cougars looked like them. It's that general pony muscle car look. I was saying that very...

Look What I Saw A New Winged Daytona

I think the new Challengers look more like the old Chargers than the new Chargers do. The New Chargers look nothing like the old ones. Of course, the new Challengers look mostly like the old Challengers. Obviously, the new Challengers don't look like a reinvention of the old Chargers, but I...

Look What I Saw A New Winged Daytona

Except that the new Chargers look nothing like the old ones. The new ones are super ugly buck tooth looking boxes. ugh. The new Challengers look much more like the old Chargers.

Look What I Saw A New Winged Daytona

Awesome. I would rather have a real Superbird, but this more affordable with better gas mileage I'm sure. The Plymouth Superbird did over 200 mph in NASCAR in 1970. For that reason they outlawed wings and other aerodynamics like on that car. The rear wing had to be that high to allow the trunk...

    Exaggerated car paint coating?

White paint has titanium in it. White paint is the hardest because of it. There will never be a scratch proof or chip proof coating or paint. It's impossible. Never to polish again? Depends upon your standards. Never wax again? Maybe. No more watermarks or stains? Maybe. No more swirls? Maybe...

Trying to get the most out of old paint, 1965 Impala SS

If you want as much money as you can get, it would be a huge mistake not to try the #7. At least do one panel to see how it looks. You should have done the #7 before polishing with the machine, but it still brings benefit to do it after the machine.

    Sonax vs Iron X

The Iron X paste is stronger than regular Iron X. If you should really need something strong, you should use that. I doubt Sonax Wheel Cleaner Plus is as strong as Iron X paste. I seem to recall it being 10X as strong. You only need these products if the wheels get really bad.

    Sonax vs Iron X

Yes. I use Griot's Wheel cleaner, and then if there is still residue I use Iron X. Sonax FE is too expensive IMO to use on a regular basis. The iron dissolving property is the only real advantage over Griots cleaner, so I see no reason to buy Sonax when I can get the more concentrated active...

    Sonax vs Iron X

Iron X is better at cleaning brake dust, and it was designed to clean paint. I would use Iron X for both. As a matter of fact, I have used Iron X for both.

What wash mitt do you use?!

I can get the big particles of dirt off with the brush the most safely, as the particles go in between the bristles. With a light touch and a lot of suds, like that foam gun method, I think it is the safest way to start a wash. You can't get a really dirty car clean with a brush. You can't rub...

What wash mitt do you use?!

I use a boar's hair brush followed by a MF chenille wash mitt. I also like the cotton chenille mitts. They are safer than the MF ones, because the fibers are so delicate. The only downside is that they come apart rather quickly, because the fibers are so delicate.

    Single stage??

Maybe you are polishing with white pads and cloths. If you remove enough material, you will see the color of the single stage paint on the pad or cloth you are using, because that is the color of the paint, and removal of material WILL transfer color. Your pad and or polish must be a contrasting...

2014 Tesla Model S - Paint Correction & Opti-Coat Pro by Mr. Sparkle Detailing - Long Island, NY

He did do a great job. I like the Tesla, too. I think it is one of the most significant cars ever made, and being the safest car ever, that is nice, too. Excellent performance and always having the car ready to go at home, never needing to stop for gas is phenomenal. No oil or plug changes is...

    My first Opti-coat experience....

Sealants last usually only 4-6 months. Coatings last much longer. That's the fundamental difference.

    My first Opti-coat experience....

It is more like adding another layer of clearcoat. It is like laying on super durable more hydrophobic, more dirt repellent clearcoat like you would apply a sealant. It is intended to be as permanent as paint, if not more so.

Neglected my paint for too long...

I put vinegar in the same type as decontamination like Iron X which is before claying. (You should still Iron X) Better to dissolve the mineral deposits with vinegar to remove them most gently than to go for clay to shear them off and increase marring.

    Tip Jars

It is fair for the customer to expect to receive what they order, because it is on the menu, and often, so is the price. The restaurant or coffee shop (not a real restaurant IMO) is a service business. It is their obligation to provide a reasonable quality item that is ordered. That is the...

    Tip Jars

If that is in fact the case, how do you reconcile the existence of those tip jars on the counter, the proceeds of which, to be generally distributed as a policy, and moreover, how do you justify your argument that people should put money in it or get decaf, and "it's only coffee?"

    Tip Jars

I think tipping CAN be given for a service but not a product, but not that it SHOULD or MUST be given. When I can't afford to tip, I order take out from a restaurant. I'm not sitting at their tables taking up space, and I'm not forcing them to wash dishes or wait on me, so I don't tip for take...
