A day in the life of...

Now that could be cool, especially for the warehouse guys and gals. Didn't they just get an elevator lift to go with their segways? Take some footage, speed it up, put it to Benny Hill / Yakety Sax. Could be fun!

Any tips on pet hair removal

Check your local superstore in the toilet cleaning area. Its nothing more than a pumice stone, often recommended (also) for removing hard water rings from the porcelain throne.

Our products on Household items - Counters, TV's etc?

OPC on stove burner pans was pretty successful. DP Glass Restorer on water-spotted shower door worked great. APC 10:1 on just about anything from countertops to floors.

    What a shame...

Your thread was probably moved/locked to keep this one of the more civil forums on the internet. No forum I know of tolerates flame wars and a judgement was evidently made that the earlier discussion was heading (or was) there. I saw part of the thread yesterday, and all I can say is there are...

    heater for a freezing garage...recommendations?

Typically only the walls that have heated living space on the other side are insulated. The drywall elsewhere just pretties it up. Drill a hole (+/- 1/4 inch). If there's fiberglass it will usually wrap around the drill bit or a tuft will poke out the hole.

The UPS guy is going to hate me.

Do you appreciate a tip when you go above and beyond for a detail customer? The shipping fee goes to the corporation. The $5 tip (and maybe a cold one) go directly to the guy who ensures your packages arrive undamaged, are left safe if you're not home (or with a neighbor) and generally keeps...

    heater for a freezing garage...recommendations?

First, can you insulate your garage? Some fiberglass bats on the walls and even the ceiling will keep the garage warmer and make it a lot easier to heat, whatever the method.

Replacement for HWC Cobra Indigo MFs?

Earlier this year, I purchased a bunch of the hot-wire-cut Cobra Indigo MFs. Gave some to a friend who loves them, and wants more. What's the closest equivalent still sold by AG? Are the Mango Breeze or Carpro MFs on BOGO even close? Other options?

    Magnetic Logo on New Car

If the car and the logo's magnetic surface are clean, I'd say yes. I have a large magnetic Vistaprint sign that comes on and off my vehicle several times a week and I haven't noticed any scratches. You will want to remove it when washing and maybe move it to different locations, especially in...

Last months topic.. STAYING COOL - now How to STAY WARM!

Waterproof gloves are a good idea. Heavy socks and a long sleeve compression t-shirt (Champion C-9 at Target, or UnderArmour if business is good), does a lot too and doesn't hold water like cotton.

    garden sprayer recommendations?

Cheap home depot or Lowes poly sprayer. Your choice whether it's a tank model with the pump handle on top, or a trigger sprayer like the Tornador. You might also consider a large Kwazar spray bottle. The dual action on those puts out a LOT of spray and it might be smaller or cheaper than the...

The Art of Detailing in paperback!

:iagree: I'm in for the printed version. With autograph would be a very nice plus.

How many gals. water to detail?

I've done some nasty cars via rinseless this year and not used more than 15 gallons of water. Normal wash on normal dirt is 5 gallons split between wash and rinse bucket.

Wet look desired on 2004 GMC white truck

The last photo doesn't look real bad in terms of depth to me, just normal wear-tear for the age. And since it's your own DD, you might try Wolfgang TSR which finishes down nicely in one step. I've avoided 105 because it has a reputation for being difficult to use. You probably have enough to...

    Some controversial techniques

If you buy-sell cars your motivation is more temporary "lipstick on a pig" type cosmetic fix ups. Clearly they work for him to move the metal. I'm more into keeping customers and their cars long term, so his methods, while appropriate for the next sucker on the lot won't work for me.

    Search impared: RV price question

I like this idea since 1. It's my first time 2. Over the phone I think I ballparked him way low. Thanks for the good idea. (Btw...finally figured out 'charge camper' returns some other good results)

    Search impared: RV price question

Can't find previous threads after trying several search terms....what would you charge for waxing a 30 foot RV? I seem to recall threads suggesting about $20 a foot, but wanted to check before I call a potential customer back. I have orange and green CCS pads, a GG and thinking Poli-Seal as...

I Can Work 2 Jobs At Once.. or How I Ticked Off My Employer

Employers get really cranky when you are doing stuff that can compete with them. Once or twice with your own personal car is one thing, but I can't see this working out well for you. I'd stop doing any personal detailing during work hours (including lunch) at the dealership. Don't ask me how...

    Looking for Paint Sealant Recommendation

The Poorboys claim about being sun friendly is no joke. Great glossy shine, and I get a pretty easy 3 months of durability. I'm about to try a side by side with UPGP, 845 and a couple others, but for now it's PB
