Auto detail shop extra service ideas???

Would look into: Paintless dent removal Window tinting Plastic bumper repair Headlight restoration Alloy wheel scuff repair (on car) Vinyl/leather repair (incl. re-dying seats, cut, scuff, burn repair) Window chip & small crack repair (as mentioned) A lot of these will require additional...

Favorite SAFE and GENTLE Tire Cleaner?

I use Megs Super Degreaser 4:1 & a stiff brush. Pulls brown out of the tyres like crazy but probably won't be much good for your LSP. I think anything strong enough to really clean the tyre will have a detrimental effect on LSP...

    Looking for tool

I would suggest a brick or piece of timber ,with smooth, rounded edges obviously... Personally I use a cut down broomstick. Another good option is use of a mirror. This allows you to check reverse, brake, tails, etc all without leaving your seat! This may or may not be possible, depending on...

    What is this?

Setec, small yellow dots, almost perfectly round, are normally bee "poop". Although, they eat pollen ha, so I suppose it's somewhat similar... Those spots bugged me (no pun intended) for a long time until I found out what they were...

    Tire Cleaner

I use Megs super degreaser, a VERY stiff brush & a pressure-washer. Works great! The tyre turns a foamy brown as I'm scrubbing it. If working on neglected wheels or getting really fussy you may need to do this 2-3 times until there is no brown at all whilst scrubbing...

    Recommended Interior detailing

Welcome to AGO! For protection of your leather, vinyl, etc you may want to look at things like 303 Aerospace Protectant, Optimum Protectant, Ultima Interior Guard Plus... Then you will probably need or want a cleaner, annnd, then you're hooked & the list goes on......

Re: COAAD: What Lies Beneath... Great post(s). Some really simple but great tips... & by the way, love the car! I'm in Australia & you don't see those here...

    Wool on a DA

Possibly meant to be used under a MF, etc bonnet to provide a soft cushion when removing wax? If so that would make it completely different from using a wool pad for correction IMO...

    Foam Cannon Question

Agree with foaming to loosen up any heavy grime then rinsing to remove loose dirt & said loosened grime. Then whether you choose to do a 2BM wash or foam again & wash with just a rinse bucket is personal preference... I see quite a few people, on here & elsewhere, who foam their car then start...

    Will AG carry Wolf's Chemicals??

Have heard GREAT things about Bilt Hamber Auto Foam snow foam. A lot of poms seem to be using it as a pre-soak &/or even a stand alone touchless wash through a foam cannon (although the touchless washes are at STRONG concentrations!) Just heard it mentioned again recently & decided I wanted to...

Yeah, had this happen to me on my first order. 303 high-tech fabric guard too so was quite a smelly item to spill... AG fixed it up no worries!

BF Pad Care Kit Giveaway - Show Us Your Pad Collection!

A-Train & Setec, thanks! They are Fischer plastic tubs with dividers. Fit perfectly in my Namco, etc steel cabinets... Still organizing my products (doesn't help that I keep adding more!) but it's coming along nicely... Think I'm as anal with my products & equipment as I am with my car!

    Auto Detailing Certification

Mike I know exactly what you are saying about people becoming certified & then not maintaining good workmanship but really there is no way to stop that. I'm a qualified motor mechanic/auto trans specialist & have worked for & with some DODGY & under-skilled people, who have a certificate saying...

Baby proof car (keeping it clean)?

Oh & as mentioned by Killr, you probably want to treat the carpets & fabrics with 303 high-tech fabric guard not aerospace protectant...

Baby proof car (keeping it clean)?

Leatherique is fantastic but I don't think it will "protect" the leather as such. You probably want to look into Optimum protectant plus or UIGP. Also I would put something between the baby seat & the leather such as a towel or blanket. If you can somewhat match the color most people probably...
