    DIY 1 and 2 inch foam pads

    I have done this a year ago. I placed 7" cutting foam Pad on a 3.5" backing plate and used a jigsaw blade to cut the pad perfectly round....(by hand). This works well with my drill for headlights.

    I always use a toothbrush for to both clean tight spots, also to remove any product residue. I have used my DA with a 5" soft brush on cloth seats. I also use a 4" China Bristles paint brush.

    Use rain-x X-treme Clean and then clay the glass. And then reapply the rain-x. This works great for me.

    "Rain X doesn't like paint, or vice versa. Used to say that right on the bottle. Red Hawk, The warning is still on the bottle.

    Howdy Don and rcruz and welcome to AGO. I also have the HF Polisher I have both 3 1/2" & 5 1/2" backing plates. I use B&S 5 1/2" and 4" pads. Also have 5" brushes for carpet and seats. I have not done any mods... yet Don you can use 6" pads on the 5" BP and 7" pads on the 6" BP.
