After you apply the product to the pad after the initial prime, set the pad on the paint and smear the product onto the paint in the area you will be working before turning the machine on. Move back up to where you set it down initially and turn it on. That's what I do and never have an issue.

If the roads are still crappy I'll just spray it off. Sometimes with soap sometimes without. Soap alone doesn't always get a lot off and leaves a film (like said above). If roads are decent then it's a full wash and dry.

Very good point. And beings that the PC 7424 only pulls 4.5 amps. A 20 amp rated cord is overkill anyway. But I agree if you only have 15A circuits in the garage then there would be no point to get a bigger cord because it won't benefit you.
