Which brand is forbidden to be spoken around you?

None really. If it works and doesn't cost me a fortune to be happy with I then it's a win. I use mainly Meg's but I'll try other stuff too if it looks promising.

Id sort like to put the Zaino guys and the OCP guys in a chat room, post a super glossy pic and just see what happens for the next ten hours. LOL

Really? Which ones? I use 3D alot, im interested in knowing which of their products you didnt like.

My friend bought that and it was terrible to remove, soo much elbow grease was required. I scolded him for buying it.

I believe this is what the Detail Fest famous gas station had and tried using it on one of our AG members; there is a whole thread about it.

3D or HD? HD'S stuff is knockout. Some of 3D stuff is hit or miss.

3D makes the HD lineup, I wonder why they would put more emphasis on the HD line vs their origin brand. Interesting...with that said I never had an issue with HD products.
 
Lol, maybe shocking for many but for me is 3M.

Wait, Wait! Consider I'm brazilian and in my country's reality, 3M goes from the best to the worst car's services here.

Fact is, 99% of people who claims '3M Polishing' order a 3M OTC glass cleaner and says they 'Only use 3M'. You can find a '3M _____ service' on every corner.

Or they buy an OTC 3M wax on a supermarket and states: '3M 'Cristalization'' lol

Being the brand so trustable and great, some years ago people started getting a hike on it's strength and doing the stated above. Today if you see someone around (BRAZIL) saying they do '3M polishing', you can suspect of a poor detailing job... Not always, but you'll need to double check.

Sad but true, opportunists weakened a brand by misuse of it's name.

I'm a 3M believer (the manufactory), but don't trust people who relies on it's name to hide something else...

House divided... that I can live with. But we are not bleeding (only) Red & Black 'round hear.

FWIW My son-in-law went to Ga Tech. He got his undergrad and Masters at the same time, in 3 1/2 years. The boy did good, he designs microcircuits that fit on your fingernail. But his *BIGGEST* achievement is my daughter falling in love with him.

I once asked her (when we saw it getting serious) what it was about him. She (being a Philosophy/Law student) said; "Daddy I can have an intelligent conversation with him.... do you KNOW how hard that is with boys these days."

Come to find out, he told his Dad the EXACT SAME THING! :D
(And she went to Ga State.)

I realize that. That's why I asked the question. The 3D stuff is geared more towards production work.

it was hd uno and something else I forget, but they claimed it could get 2000 grit scratches out, the most aggressive I went was a rotary with a wool pad and that wouldn't take it out it just polished the scratches, I ended up going with presta cutting cream on a cutting pad and it did the trick no problem

Ahh I see. I havent tried HD Uno because of the fact that It has received substandard reviews. I dont plan on using it either. Thanks for your feedback!
 
Armor-all is really the only stuff I hate.

Turtle wax has a nice rinseless wash that is cheap and works great, so I can't hate on them.

I second (or third or fourth - whatever we're on by now) the dislike for Turtle Wax. I haven't used a ton of their products, but what I have used, I didn't like. Also, and this might be dumb and slightly irrelevant, but one of the worst things about Turtle Wax is the smell. It really does smell like turtle snot. :eek:

I liked ArmorAll until I started reading articles about it on here! Still have half a bottle in my stash of detailing supplies, but it hasn't been touched for months.
 
For me it's Croftgate products and reps that make my blood boil. Reps are so pushy and think their stuff is the shiznit. See them at car shows pushing waterless wash n wax. Washing cars with 2 gallons of water, a few cap fulls, 1 bucket , no grit guard and 1 MF towel. Reps personal cars are all swirled up. I have requested product samples from more then 1 rep to do some real world testing against the products I use on DD 's not garage kept weekend cars, but have never received them.
 
It is not the brand itself but just the messenger that can get tiresome.
