    2023 Rivian SUV

Hello, it’s been awhile. No fancy in-depth photos. But it was an honor to be the first to wash, detail and protect this amazing EV SUV. The owner drove it from Southern California up into Canada this summer after I coated it with CarPro SiC. Cleaned up quite well post-trip. Yes, this...

What did you do today non-detailing related?

My work shoes weren’t holding up a good shine with traditional polish, so I coated them with TACsystem Moonlight. I was going to buy CarPro’s leather coating, but figured it was easiest to experiment on an older pair of shoes first. I am impressed! For maintenance, I wipe them off with...

    Dr Beasley’s Porsche Panamera

Panamera returned for another detail. Less labor intensive this time around, so I coated the car with Ethos Ceramic Matrix after a light polish with Xtreme Solutions LVR 404 Helios. Polished the wheels and sealed with TACsystem Moonlight [emoji275]. 99,986 miles on the odometer.

Need some advice on topping (or not) P&S Legend

I like Bead Maker on top of a coating simply because it’s so slick and the bee pollen poo doesn’t adhere to the surface. If it ever rained here, I like that it doesn’t bead that well. And lastly, the obvious, it’s glossy and has short longevity.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

BMW 330i Former dealer loaner car. Owner got a deal back in 2020, due to the paint being thrashed. I did my best in December 2020 to two-step the entire car. It was a vast improvement, but at my skill-level, there are still some swirls and spider webbing. Paint polished today with FLEX...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I installed a wraparound mirror on this behemoth This is a mid-detail photo. Finished polishing, but trim and wheels were next. I mainly used Dr Beasley’s NSP line, all four offerings. 150-95-45 and Z1. If you haven’t bought this product before, it’s not easy to work with. It...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Left myself near speechless after a simple maintenance wash. [emoji15] It had been about a month since the last wash. Guess I forgot how good it looks when properly cleaned.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Money shots from yesterday… Without proper maintenance, that black plastic trim is going to look horrendous as it fades to gray. Apparently, this design is quite controversial amongst the SUBARU loyal. I think it looks fine, but maybe only because of the black paint. TACsystem Moonlight...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

CarPro Essence polished CarPro SiC coated I think one coat is what I’ll stick with in the future. I got some ghosting spots after applying the second coat. Had to spot apply more SiC and quickly buff to clear up the finish. Not fun. Car is brand new. Made the job a bit easier.

Instant detailer over a ceramic coating

Topper Bead Maker Ethos Defy Ethos Resist (graphene based) CarPro Elixir BMJ (Carpro Reload and EcH2O), which is basically home brewed Elixir Turtle Wax Ice Shinee Wax Option Paralysis! Any of them are fine as their longevity is not as long as a coating.

    Your Best Reflection Shot

I feel like I’ve been spamming out photos of Shelby lately. However… PA High Gloss is the most reflective product I have ever used. Gotta be that titanium in it. [emoji93] [emoji592] [emoji92]

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

I got the car so clean and shiny…I don’t want to drive it. But it gets a quick dust blow off (daily) with the FLEX cordless blower. Maybe cover it? The factory car cover is an indoor one. *edit* A drive would be nice. Busy busy.

Been out of the game awhile and need suggestions for black Toyota Rav4

-LC orange pad with LVR polishing glaze -Topped with Ethos ceramic pro wax. Really, on new’ish cars, most anything will do (IMHO and rookie experience). I do prefer protection infused polish-glazes in this situation, given the price point and customer expectations.
