What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

My favorite scents are -

Carpro Eraser
Koch GSF
Carpro Reset
NV Onyx
OG Tire Dressing
P&S Bead Maker
P&S Paint Gloss
Koch GSF

Gtechniq's soap is also a similar scent Koch GSF.

Adam's red mega foam is Juicy Fruit gum basically.

Autoglym Polar Blast is another I don't use enough based on scent alone.

It's crazy how my garage smells after a wash on either vehicle. I think even the wife is starting to recognize which products I used on her car by the scent.

I’ve never tried Eraser. What’s the scent? NXT is “rumored” to be jujube candy mixed with key lime pie. It’s heavenly.

It’s on my list as I need a waterless wash to keep around. As for NXT, it is still available.

Smells like those Asian squash air fresheners if you’d ever smelled those. Otherwise hard to explain….

I have not. I remember when they got popular here around 15 years ago but I never bought one because squash just didn’t sound appealing as a scent. But I’ve been wrong many, many times. Lol

I kinda like that guy.

Is that bad?

:bolt:
Well this first part is opinion...he's NOT funny and is arrogant. This last part can't be denied...washing a car with a tire and wheels brush...using ONR...on a 9 1 1...a BLACK 9 1 1 OH yeah, calling using soap and water "so 20th century", WW & RW is all you need Sorry Mr. Bowtie, sometimes you've gotta flush out those nooks and crannies and how about to wash the car when that yellow stuff called POLLEN falls all over, not doing a RW or WW with that, no matter how much pre-treating.

To say I'm not a fan of his is an understatement and if you check out Apex Detailing you'll see this clown use a tire and wheel brush, along with ONR and ONE BUCKET to wash a black 911

BMW 330i
Former dealer loaner car.

Owner got a deal back in 2020, due to the paint being thrashed. I did my best in December 2020 to two-step the entire car. It was a vast improvement, but at my skill-level, there are still some swirls and spider webbing.

Paint polished today with FLEX cordless XCE & PXE and CarPro Essence.
I was going to apply CQuartz Lite, but it was way too grabby on the wipe off.
So I used Ethos Ceramic Matrix coating.

Overall finish:
Not bad, not perfect…but decent.
The owner takes good care of it and washes it gently. My kind of client!

Ooo, interesting. I used the Scrub Ninja on my steering wheel as well, but with diluted Super Clean. It wiped clean but later in the day when I got back in the car, there were slick oily spots on the wheel...as if it pulled all the oil back to the surface.

Has anyone experienced this? I'm thinking I should repeat the process until it stops doing that.

I have not and first used on 7 year old never been clean steering wheel. Maybe the SuperClean? Worth trying something else to verify.

You know, I saw that vid. The only way I'll ever come to terms with that is to just do it myself...and I don't see that happening soon.

RW just can't replace good ole H2o to flush stuff out. You can't possibly just rely on that method all the time. It has its applications for maintenance, but not for truly cleaning.

LOL I hear you on that. He's an interesting guy for sure. Comes across as a salesman. A bit too much of a know-it-all for me. I've learned some things from him though. Has a godlike status among many in the detailing world.

Notice he never visits Esoteric? Imagine Ivan and Todd together. Oil and water.

How is that brush NOT putting faint scratches on to the paint?? I'm not buying it.

I'm not sure who looks at HIM as "God-like" but your not supposed to worship fake gods I've learned from him too and it's this, not to watch or hear another word from someone who uses a tire and wheel brush to wash a car, ANY car, let alone a black 911. He's got a business alright and apparently it's training detailing business' to make more money...yeah, that tire and wheel usage is surely going to have people knocking down your door. I hope Brian from from Apex didn't have his business affected too much from that appearance by that fraud!

As far as him and the guy from Esoteric, the room would have to be pretty large to fit those egos, very smug, maybe get Schmee150 and make the building a convertable

That is a Mustang II, one of the most pathetic cars ever made, based off of a Ford Pinto of all things

Its 2.8 litre petrol is wos good car bad car?

IIRC that's the Cologne built V6 and it's supposed to be a pretty decent engine, it's just the car around it that's the problem. They tried to make it look like shrunken down 64' Mustang but cheaped out using the Pinto chassis. It was available in 4, 6 and even a V8 which made about 120 but I'm guessing here without looking it up.

It will be cool to see what you end up doing with it
