WOW! Fantastic job Bill, bet you could convince a lot of non detailers that you got a new paint job. Also great job on pictures, really showed how bad it was and how far its come.
Welcome! As far as good DA's go, people tend to like the griots garage 6 for starting out before more advanced ones there is the Rupes and Flex 3401. Also beautiful A3, my friend has one just like that and he really likes it.
Interesting that it can be doubled for extra cleaning. Did it create any more streaking that needed extra buffing? Because if not I may have to give it a try since I have a gallon of it so I'm not afraid to use a little extra.
Figure out more efficient ways to do certain task so that a simple wash doesn't take so long. Especially when doing cars for family or friends. Also buy in bulk and stop making so many impulse buys.
Nice review, but interesting that you found a huge lack of cleaning ability. Because it seems to be equal cleaning power with my UWW+. But maybe it's just my frequent cleanings that make it easy to clean.
Wow nice! I'm still a teen also but my lease is getting renewed soon so that pretty much was my gift. But I did get some M105 and M205 I'm pumped about. But nothing nearly as awesome as your stuff!
Let me see if I can help answer some of these questions.
1. Really varies based on how much product your using so I can't really say.
2. Only things you want to avoid are any areas with heavy grime like mud or salt. Other wise everything else is fine. In fact I will even use it on wheels...
Nice job, car had some seriously deep reflections on it! Except was that mud on it before? or just dirty snow? I will say that I love that car, not a huge fan of the front but love everything else, and my god are those things fast.
Cool thank you so much I Mike and hateswirls! One final question, should I blow out any vents or anything after sanding with it? I'm worried that it could blow out some abrasive dust when I'm using it as a polisher again.
Hey Mike,
I have some questions about this process. I have a Meg's G110 v2 and want to know if this would work for wood sanding since it's similar to the porter cable. Also I noticed you pointed out the dust extraction piece, but I didn't see it in the picture with the DA on the desk. Is that...
Wow that looks phenomenal! I had to do my uncles car once that was in similar condition and they are so much work. But I do like doing those types because the end results can be stunning.
I was wondering if anyone has used this product before? Particularly on Mercedes paint, and what would be the best pad to use it with. I have 2 Mercedes I'm working on, one with swirls galore and one with super small DA tick marks left over from the Meg's microfiber system.
I'm aware that...
I have the eBay ones and honestly they are super thin. I only use them for things like dressings. The big downside is they are thin enough where the dressings go through them and all over your hands.
Wow amazing job! I just did one of these recently and noticed the same thing as you, paint was insanely soft. I buffed all swirls out using Meg's ultimate polish on a 7 inch yellow Meg's pad. But even that combo left some da haze behind. But again kudos on getting it that amazing, especially...
That's true, I believe that also but it seems like people often get attached to what they use and try to do anything to get other people using it. Problem is when you put multiple people together like that, it can create issues.
