2014 FORD Shelby gt500 convertible with 210 miles

The owner brought his car to my shop, Detailed Designs Auto Spa looking for a quote on clear bra installation and a car detail and after getting a good sense of what type of protection and maintenance he will want for the car, we also discussed cQuartz Finest. He knew there were options for other coating systems but LOVED how cQuartz Finest looks on clean paint and the protection it provided.

He also wanted the wheels removed for 100% application on the wheels and calipers. tq'd back to factory spec of course ;)

We installed Suntek self-healing PPF on the leading edges, a-pillars, roof edge and inside the door seals to protect against shoes. (after seeing the end result he insisted on coming back to have the rocker panels covered with clear bra when before he decided against it due to the additional cost)

Tim wrapping up on drying the wheels.

Tail lights looked terrible. The owner had not washed the car once so these either came from the factory like this or the dealership created the damage. Who can say a brand new car doesn't need attention?

That little gap between the sidewall and the rim of a wheel can be a real pain to apply UTTG+ to. A gloved finger fixes that problem.

Beautiful work indeed. The car came out with amazing results. The paint really pops and I agree with the CQ Finest coating as it does one of the best jobs inhancing the gloss and protection of a vehicle. Thanks for posting and sharing.

Hey OP
How does UTTG perform on tires?
How long will it last?
Also is it easy to clean the tires, when it is time for another wash?

Very nice work. I have one of these and know what a pain it is to tape off all the plastic fantastic parts on this model. Btw what did you do to the stripes? I taped mine off for the correction, then used a paint sealant on them. Used 22ple which added a bit of gloss to the stripe, but is holding up well so far...

Fantastic job! Beautiful ride:)

Thanks

Obviously, how long it will last depends. But for a polymer that will not have the poor characteristics of a petroleum based product, it lasts a fair amount of time and looks amazing. Yes, they are easy to keep clean.

Great job! love the car!

Thanks and I agree. We have another 2014 Shelby gt500 coming in the shop in a week.

I'm not a fan of coatings for vinyl stripes imho. I don't like how they will add some gloss.

Beautiful work. That black paint pops now!

Thanks. It came out real nice and the owner was very pleased.

Wow. Those sun shots!

:props:

Awesome job... I'm a newbie and have an '08 Cobra GT500. What did you use on the numbers and plastic tail lights?

God I love that car especially with black paint that looks that phenomenal! Fantastic job!

Thanks for all the fine compliments gentlemen.

There's been PM's about how we cleaned up those tail lights. We used a 3.5" Orange pad w/ Menzerna SIP then followed up with gray pad w/m205. Of course the shot you see is the one after cQuartz Finest was applied too.
