Thanks Dalton. I've been reading non stop since Tuesday lol(My fiance hates this site now...I told her wait until I get the stuff and detail her car and see if she feels the same lol) I was looking at the clay pad applicator to speed things up a little since this process seems like it will...

Thanks Mike for those very detailed responses. The funny thing is most of the links you have posted I already have bookmarked lol. I wanted to have most of the info I would need prior to ordering and using any products. I have one question though. I see in some of the links an IPA is...

    Wolfgang products and outside temperature?

Thanks for the info. I would have hated to buy a lot of stuff only to have it freeze up on me and be unusable. Looks like I'll be making room in a closet during the cold months. To make it easier I'll just have to pick up a bag on my next purchase. Being a Steelers fan the Black and Gold is...

    Wolfgang products and outside temperature?

Besides the best temperature for applying product what about product storage? I'm about to purchase quite a bit of product and would hate to store it in my garage over the winter and have it be unusable come springtime. I live in Pa and it gets pretty cold up here....not usually below 0 though.

Has anyone had experience with the Clay pad attachment? I'm trying to find out what tools can help me shorten my time. Based on recommendations I'm going to go with WG's paint sealant 3.0. I was looking at using PB's World Natty's Paste wax...has anyone used that combo? Thanks again!

Ok, so I'll add some blue pads. I believe the 5 pad PC kit comes with a couple of flat red pads. That's correct. At first I thought it was fabric since it's called sailCLOTH...but it's vinyl...go figure :bash: I can thank this site for figuring that out. I just wanted to dye it because it...

Ty sir...I'll do that. I think I'm set on a polisher. I'm going to go with a PC7424XP. I was sold on it first, then I started to read that the Griot ROP has more power which would help with doing corrective work. Its also around the same price as the PC, so I was going to get the...

Thanks for breaking it down for me. I appreciate all of the info. I think you just sold me on the Megs products lol. I think I have it now as far as the whole process. Heavy polish/defect removal, light polish, LSP. The LSP is either a sealant, wax or both. That last step is where I got...

Thanks for the response. I heard the Megs 105 & 205 has a bit of a learning curve. I just read up on the whole IPA process today and thought I would include it. How many polishing steps are there...I thought it was just one? So if I understand you right this should be the process.. Wash Dry...

Thanks for the info. At first I'm going to use the DA, once I get more comfortable I'll use my hands. Thanks for the compliment, but after a couple months of dirt it's no longer a nice car lol. What are your thoughts on my other questions?

I planned on using LC pads. I read that you should try using a white pad first instead of going straight to an orange pad because a white pad is a slight cutting pad. My plan was to buy the PC kit with 5 pads. I was going to choose 3 white 6.5" pads, 1 gray 6.5" pad, 1 blue 6.5" pad and 2...

You wouldn't use a Grey or Blue pad to apply sealant or wax? I was thinking this would be better than using my inexperienced hands since I've never really done this before. For my first go I was going to use some cheaper product to help out my learning curve.

Hello, I've been bitten by the detail bug and after many google searches I found this site. I was first interested in all the products available for sale, then I found all of the info in this forum. But so far I haven't found answers to some of my questions, so I figured I'd join and post a...

    Hello from Eastern PA!

Just wanted to say hello to everybody. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions. I'm new to detailing. I've washed my car...but never ever waxed it. I've been thinking of getting involved with the car show scene around here next spring with my daily driver and hope to get some valuable info from...
