I use to use glaze all the time, I have Adam's Brilliant Glaze. Since I got Pinnacle Souveran paste wax, there is no comparison in shine, depth, gloss whatever, so I'll just bust out my Pinnacle now and my Adam's BG is in the back of the closet.
I always wash my mitt and drying towel together, simply b/c the both touch my paint, so either one would damage if something was wrong, I don't see the point in seperating the two.
I also wash microfibers that touch paint with wax products separately, but I think i'm going to ease up on that...
I agree 100%, to someone like my Dad and his swirled car you are right. I'm speaking more about us on here, I know some people love QD and say it is safe and others don't so more referencing that debate I guess. I'm just trying to develop a technique that minimizes any dust on the surface to...
I was on YouTube and came across this video. This seems not very safe to me but Meguiars has a good name so thought I'd post and ask. Seems like way to much dust to just spray and wipe, especially the way their tech was wiping it (in circles without going to a clean side). Anyway made me...
Thanks for the replies guys, good to know I'm not the only one.
I noticed you said you go in small circles, I have noticed when I do that I can get a lot further, but when watching MP's video on Pinnacle Souveran he said to do straight line so I did, that is where I feel I have a "grabby"...
Interesting, well the car was clayed, and 2 stepped corrected and is smooth as glass so there is no issue there. Maybe I just feel like it is "dry". I mean certainly when you start applying yours eventually it needs to be re-moistened with wax right? So how do you know when that is, I always...
It seems like whenever I use a foam applicator for applying wax, in this case Pinnacle Souveran paste wax, that I don't get very far without the pad feeling "dry" or like there isn't any product on it. Now I know you are suppose to apply very thin, so maybe this is just the way it is, but it...
Thanks, yeah these aren't labeled as "plush" or anything special, just multi-purpose and on the back says they can be used for anything paint related. I'm not going to trust them just b/c I have nicer ones for that, but it seems like they "could be" without scratching based on how they feel...
Ok, only question I have is are the ok on glass? Meaning does microfiber that is not ok for paint also not ok for glass or does glass not matter as much?
EDIT:
I just opened the package, these things seem very nice IMO, very soft especially folded into quarters. Not like my Griot's towels...
I should say the package says they are good for wash/wax/polish/glass, etc. Guess I'm just looking for a towel that when I see something nasty (bird poop, grit, whatever) to use that instead of anything super nice like my Griot's or Meguiar's towels.
Was in Meijer today and saw this on sale for 10 bucks which seemed like a great price for 24 Viking microfibers, but before I open them and wash them I was wondering if these are good for dirtier jobs like engine bay, behind the wheels, fender wells, glass, interior, etc.? I'm looking for a...
So this begs the question, if you have really nice, expensive aftermarket rims, how do you avoid this situation from happening b/c everyone can accidentally make a mistake. Do you guys that have these types of rims make it a point of speaking with a manager about your concerns before they touch...
