Ferrari 360 Modena in Rosso Corsa!

Looks pretty decent..... but as they say, looks can be deceiving.

Wounded stallion...

Proper lighting is required to properly inspect the paint.
IMG_2589.JPG

The paint was very badly swirled with plenty of Random Isolated Deep Scratches (RIDS).

Can this paint be saved or should it be repainted?

The work begins....

First up, the headlights.

Due to the deep scratches, the headlights were wetsanded, compounded and polished to remove the defects and restore them something worthy for a Ferrari.

A test portion was carried out to determine the process required to correct the paint.

That's more like it!

Thanks for looking!

Great work! What pad\polish combo did you settle on, and what level of correction do you think you got?

What a great comeback !!!! Exactly how red should look !!

Great job!, a pleasure to follow.

Keep on polishing!

Kind Regards.

Do you have any after pics of the Ferrari script?

If you are not removing the script....what is your process to get that area cleaned and polished?

Thanks

Awesome job!

Beautiful work Gentlemen!

Such a beautiful car. Great work bringing her back~!

Thanks guys! :xyxthumbs:

We use various products at our shop but mostly from Optimum. The RIDS were quite severe and I would say that we most were removed except the really deep ones.

What a great comeback !!!! Exactly how red should look !!

love it. this makes me want to detail a ferrari

We polish the areas in between by hand but you are absolutely right. The badge has to be removed for a 100% correction. However, this was not done in this case as the owner wanted a relatively quick paint correction done.

Great job on this beautiful car!

Marvelous work brightening that red Ferrari paintwork

Thanks! :xyxthumbs:

Would you believe I once flat out refused to drive such a car? Yep, same color too.

My friend, who was parking this car in front of my house, then in Chicago, causing me a literal "Chinese torture" handed me the keys one afternoon, and said "go ahead".

When I said no, and he asked if I thought I couldn't handle such a car, I told him, "Nope, it's not myself I don't trust, it's every other clown on Chicago's city streets"!
