Sully's Detailing: CTS Headlight Restoration and Wax

A lot of people go crazy sanding headlights. In all but the most extreme cases (these were pretty bad as it was) I find no need to sand. A good 4" pad on a drill/rotary will do great work with even a mild compound.

    Hello from Seattle area

Hey Rich you can multiquote messages by pressing the "Quote +" button as many times as you would like and then in your responses you can respond below them, it works better than posting multiple messages. There are many other products that are able to be used on 3M clearbras other than Zaino...

    what's your winter LSP???

1 coat of Adam's MSW (sealant) followed by their paste wax. Bulletproof combo. The MSW by itself will last 6+ months in WA weather (read rain all the time). Topped with their paste its popping and very durable.

Most over looked thing in washing a car?

Why? It's not really hard to do or anything. I'm going to have to say the barrel of the wheels or inside the fuel door.

LSP: Tried many - I just don't see a difference!!!

I can tell a difference between waxes based upon longevity, ease of use, and looks. Some waxes look more deep look and some offer better sharp reflections. I know this is not just my imagination. My Adam's Americana looks alot better than a 20 dollar meguiars wax.

    No Rinses: Light Duty Only?

While ONR is a great product I don't see it as being safe to wash a vehicle that has been treated to winter road conditions.

Thats a bit of a broad statement don't you think. There are dozens of these dressings that don't sling when properly applied.

    Best Protection for Salt Water?

Yea make sure and keep it sealed/waxed. I would personally buy a little trailer for them, like hell I would ever let salt water drip on any of my paint.

Mike, What's the story with WD-40?

Flex 3401 owners what do you use on tight areas where a smaller pad is required

PC here too, the Edge deal with pads would have cost me 80-90 dollars so it worked better for me to use pads I could get for 30 dollars and buy a PC for a 100 and have an extra machine in case mine broke or if someone else wanted to help me do a job.

Clear Inline Hose Filter Canister vs. CR Spotless Water Deionization Systems

These systems are so expensive it makes them hard to be cost effective.
