3 Easy Steps to Wet Looking Paint!

This. I only hand-wash my vehicles once a month - pressure washer and foam cannon with CarPro Reset works just great for my weekly maintenance washes. Takes me probably 20-25 minutes for my car, and 30-40 minutes for the wife's SUV.

Best products for a complete plastic bike?

I did a '13 Ninja 650 a few weeks ago that was all plastic other than the tank. I washed with CarPro Reset, then coated all the plastic parts with CQuartzUK.

3 Easy Steps to Wet Looking Paint!

If you're not taking care of the defects in the paint, you're just putting makeup on a pig.

Does cquartz fine protect the car from scratches?

Nothing will prevent scratches. It's like calling body armor bullet-proof vests. There's no such thing. But it DOES impart some scratch RESISTANCE. Meaning the paint will not be as susceptible to swirling\etc.

    Cquartz Finest

It's pretty straight-forward. It's not as simple as waxing, but it's not rocket science either. Finest IS more durable than regular or UK, but not worth $900 if it's something you can do yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rAM78oDffM

Pro Detailer or Simple Enthusiast Wanted--Atlanta, GA

Depends on if you're up for driving to Augusta. :D If so, I can hook ya' up.

Keep in mind those are subjective numbers on that chart meant as a general guideline.

Do coatings take the fun out of detailing?

I typically get the vehicles sprayed off (foam cannon\CarPro Reset) once a week, and they get a hand wash once a month. That does a good enough job for me. And of course the older two kids are outside "helping". I encourage them to wash their Cozy Coupe and scooter instead of the real vehicles...

Do coatings take the fun out of detailing?

If I were still single with no kids, I would agree. But with the amount of constraints I have on my free time, it meant the vehicles were getting a synthetic sealant every few months - as compared to back in the day when my vehicle got waxed every two-three weeks.

Another vote for FG400 with SF4500.

    High end Tinted Windows Question

Disclaimer: Former law enforcement. Here's the rub. You CAN still get a ticket. You then need to show the court that your vehicle is registered in a state that allows the level of tint you have.

    High end Tinted Windows Question

$400ish for Huper seems about right. As to computer versus hand, it depends on of if the person doing the hand cuts is experienced\competent or not.

    New car...Need advice

Welcome to the forum! I've owned a 1993 Infiniti Q45 (died with 240,000 miles on it), a 2002 Infiniti Q45 (current daily driver with 150,000 miles on it) and 2005 Infiniti QX56 (wife's currently daily driver with 155,000 miles on it). Great vehicles. Agreed on the above with CQuartz. It's...

Depends on the type of water spot - vinegar may or may not work. If you've got CarPro Spotless, I would try that first.

Need help choosing a Coating for my BMW

Good deal. Unlike with correction, I've noticed that it's best to have a good even, diffuse light source for coatings. Spots don't help nearly as much. Even a few T8s in my garage are good enough. Slow and steady wins the race with CQuartzUK. Making sure you're nice and methodical is key. I...

Need help choosing a Coating for my BMW

If it's something you're looking to offer, I would go with CQuartzUK, since you won't be able to offer OC2.0 for clients.

Need help choosing a Coating for my BMW

So far, my only coating experience is with CQuartzUK. It's pretty darn simple - IF you have good lighting and are careful about making sure to get it wiped down properly to avoid high spots. My first time I might have ended up needing to take some SF4500 to a few spots... Ones I plan to...

    New truck, winter coming...

Decent ramps for $42 at Wal-Mart - they support my wife's QX56 just fine. I haven't tried it yet, not sure what the best method would be.
